I'm not sure where you found that information, the .gov site does says you can enter without visa for 30 days?
6 months on the passport and an entry form.

Thanks ziggyuk, I believe this is the same as the travel entry form mentioned in your link and it talks a lot about the airport tax by air entry but I wonder if that's still applicable when you cruise into Cape Verde?

I believe you are correct, you don’t need a visa but you do need to complete Ease.  I am assuming in the instructions it means ‘at least’ 5 days ahead of arrival and not precisely 5 days. If you’re joining the cruise in Cap Verde I assume you will be flying in from Lisbon. You will need the flight number and you only get that when you complete your final documentation. I did that yesterday and will complete Ease over the weekend.

Thanks for your reply Dusko, I will be sailing with Princess cruises and I embark in Cape town, South Africa & Cape Verde is one of our ports. I received an email from what I think is Brussels embassy Cape Verde he said every visitor has to register with 'Ease' and the cost of the Ease is classified as airport tax, but surely if I am arriving by cruise & have already  paid the port tax? I have not received any advise from the cruise line via phoning or internet or through my booking. I have a friend who is onboard ship now luckily, she's my inside contact, I'm still waiting a result from her enquiries. Look like I will apply for the Ease nearer the time, just incase things change..... Enjoy your Seabourne cruise, cheers 🥂

Re Cape Verde the advise re visa and or 'ease' (ETA) is conflicting and confusing, some countries are exempt from a visa  but have to get an 'ease' ETA? Electronic travel authority? ,however the Ease may only be required if you are arriving by air, has anyone got any more information regarding this? I have a UK passport with I believe is exempt from a visa but Mey require an ETA?

They know that the roll call finder tool isn't working. In the meantime you have to go to Roll Calls/name of your cruise line/name of your ship/and search for the correct date, as Essiesmom has done for you. Once you get there, bookmark the page so that you can get back to it easily. You can also follow it, so you will know when anything new is posted.

thanks Gnome 12, good advise bookmarking will be a first but sounds very useful.

Hi Julie tanks for that, I'm sure I'm not the only one that finds this site very difficult to use. there isn't a roll call for this ship at the moment I'm trying to start one, ....wish me luck finding the roll call forum for Princess Cruises :-)

thanks I found it, but this roll call doesn't come up through the normal roll call search it might be worth letting Cruise Critic know so they can fix that issue and you might get more people joining.

    I'm not cruising on this ship but I will inform the 4 travellers I know that are :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

You have mistakenly posted in the part of the forum dedicated to helping with technical use of the forums.  You need to post this in the ROLL CALL forum for Princess Cruises, where there is already a roll call for your cruise:
