We took the NCL excursion to Monte Carlo and Monaco in November 2023. It was a long bus ride both directions, but we thoroughly enjoyed our day. We had sufficient time at both stops, and enjoyed a lovely late lunch in Monaco.

We agree that Onda is our #1, followed by Cagney's and Le Bistro. We were disappointed in Palomar.

After 9 NCL cruises on a variety of ships, one sail on the Prima and it has become our favorite ship. Love the design, especially the Indulge Food Hall.

We sailed the Mediterranean on the Prima 11/1/23 - 11/11/23. We embarked with the drink package in Barcelona and never paid any VAT at any of the Spanish, French, or Italian ports we visited.

That has always been the case on our cruises.

DH and I cruised to NE/Canada on Breakaway 9/11-18. I tested positive three days after returning home, but he remained negative. We are both mid-sixties, vaccinated with double boosters, and generally healthy. I had a low-grade fever, headache, and fatigue for three days, but not much more. This was our second cruise in 2022, and we are willing to take the risk of travel related illnesses.

Also waiting. We received FCC with the extra 25% for our cash deposit, but have not received FCC we had applied from our canceled April cruise. We are also awaiting the return of two CruiseNext certificates.

Thank heavens, I have found my people! I too live for the planning and my husband fondly refers to me as his personal travel agent! I spent 10 months planning our April Transatlantic cruise which, of course, was canceled. As disappointed as I was, I still enjoyed every minute of my research and planning. We have a Canada/New England cruise booked for September and Panama Canal booked for January. There's no doubt the September cruise will be canceled, but have my fingers crossed for the January cruise. In the meantime, I take solace in my happy little world of planning the next trip!

We were also booked (using our PCC) on the April 18 TA We have received both our FCC with the extra 25% and the 2 Cruise Next certificates (several days later). Everything was calculated correctly.

I'm happy to report the same: cancelled March 9th and received refund on CC April 5th.

Do you know if they charge for luggage
If you're asking about British Airways, they allow one free checked bag per passenger. I was able to search baggage information on the website.

Outbound City: NYC/LGA to MIA
Return Departure City: BCN
Destination: JFK
Airline used: American (outbound), Iberia (return)
Number of Connections: Both nonstop
Outbound time: 6:00 am arrive MIA 9:03 am
Inbound Flight Times: 5:10 pm arrive JFK 8:15 pm
Did you pay for a Deviation: 1 day early
Number of days Prior to Departure flights were ticketed: approximately 60
Plan of action: 24 hours in advance pay for same-day change to book a later flight to MIA
**PSU76, you posted you were able to upgrade your BA flights. Did you do that with miles?
Looking on AA, it states for BA and Iberia upgrades one must have Full Fare Economy priced seats? Haven't checked the actual NCL ticket to see what "code" was used but would have my doubts. How did you manage it? Also does BA charge for a checked bag or was that included in your booking?
All in all, very pleased with NCL's booking. For the late return from BCN I've booked a tour with airport drop-off, only available for flights after 4:30 pm. So there are ways to turn things around rather than sit at airport all day.
Note that for both flights, seats were assigned. With record locator I was able to change our middle seats on AA.
For Iberia, seats are same row but aisle on one side and window on the other side. To change seats would incur a fee but 24 hours prior to flight I can check availability. Iberia has various levels of economy, the lowest of which does not include a checked bag or a meal. Agent checked our booking and NCL's allows a checked bag each, one carry on and one personal item....and dinner! If Iberia includes wine like some international airlines, so much the better!
We used the record locator provided by NCL on the AA site and this redirected to the British Airways site. We were not assigned seats so we selected and paid to upgrade as my husband needs an aisle seat and prefers additional leg room. I do not believe we should need to pay for checked bags.

We will cruise on the Escape Transatlantic from NYC to Rome. Because we travel by bus from PA to NYC, we requested a one-way flight from Rome to Newark.
Return Departure City: FCO
Destination: EWR
Airline used: American operated by British Airways
Number of Connections: 1 (FCO to LHR/ LHR to EWR)
Inbound Flight Times: 12:55 PM/2:40; 4:45/7:35
Did you pay for a Deviation: YES, 2 days for $25
Number of days Prior to Departure flights were ticketed: 70 days
These are the connections posted from the start when we booked the cruise last July. As soon as we received confirmation of our flights, we searched the reservation and upgraded our seats on the British Airways website. We are 100% pleased with the flights especially since we paid $199 each for the reduced air and AA posts the flight at just shy of $2000 each!

The spa pass for our 4-day cruise in January on the Pearl is $99 if booked pre-cruise.

Just disembarked the Escape Bermuda cruise yesterday, and we sailed the Escape for a two-week western Caribbean in February. Of the two sailings I would say we preferred the Caribbean, especially Harvest Caye which is similar to visiting a resort property. On Cozumel we booked and enjoyed Mr. Sancho's all inclusive day pass. We love this ship for the venues and a crew that goes above and beyond to please!
-
Have you joined the roll call for this cruise? There is a wealth of info there, plus you may want to consider the meet and greet, slot pull, etc. We booked this cruise in part because we love the Escape. The Choir of Man show is a must, as well as the dueling pianos in Howl at the Moon.
-
The Escape is our favorite ship! Magnetic hooks will work, but they need to be very strong. I like to use the touch screens to book dining and show reservations. You'll find the screens on every floor at the stairs. Choir of Man is a MUST see - best show ever! We also really enjoy Howl at the Moon.
-
I totally agree with your review of the Escape. We did a two-week western Caribbean in February and enjoyed a fantastic cruise. Loved Choir of Man so much that we went to two shows! We will be cruising to Bermuda in October and my question is related to freedom of disembarking and boarding while docked in Bermuda. How much are AM and PM hours limited fot coming and going?

Once we had boarded, we used the touch screen to view and book shows in the Supper Club. I believe there were two shows per night at 6:00 and 8:30 with several of the acts performing on two different nights, while others only once. The doors opened 1/2 hour before showtime and meal service began as soon as we were seated.
-
Yes, a young singer, JR, presents an hour long Elton John tribute. There was quite a variety of acts in the Supper Club during our cruise.

Just sailed the Escape from 2/3-17. We booked Rocketman and Golden Octave in the Supper Club, and were served two different three-course dinners. There were no choices offered except a vegetarian option. The shows were great, but the meals were just okay. By the way, the meals are posted at the box office 24 hours before the show.

Not at all. We arrived late to the pier, but not a problem since we booked through NCL.
