I got off the Edge on 4/14 and used the Peloton bikes several times. If you have a current account on land it is free, you just need to reserve a time at the spa desk. I have an account and had no trouble reserving one. If desired you could make all of your reservations the first day. If no account you could purchase the unlimited classes package for $119 for any gym classes and the Peloton bikes are included (there are no group Peloton classes). Otherwise I was told the cost is $35 per 1hour session.

There are 5 bikes and a sign indicating 2 are reserved for suites. They typically only allowed 2-3 bikes to be used at the same time. Internet was great on the ship overall but streaming the classes was variable with the final 2 sea days quite challenging (Eastern route).

    Hope this helps!

Exactly what I was hoping to hear; thank you!

Sorry, I do not know the cost, I will see if I can find out before I get off tomorrow.  Please ignore the previous posters comments.  The ship is absolutely beautiful and the food has been excellent.  I hope you will have as great a cruise as we did.

Thank you! It would be great to know if you are able to find out.

    Happy you enjoyed yourself.

  3. First time cruisers on Celebrity here; our first will be on the Edge.

Every other cruise ship we have been on, the casino is so Smokey we can’t stand to be in there. I heard that on some celebrity ships that the casino is nonsmoking.

Is this true, and if so will the Edge have smoke free casino?

  4. Never been to JO on land but we did one visit on Harmony. The apps were amazing. The main course was, how should I say............sucked. DW and I both ordered the ribeye steak. We should have listened to our waiter who said "don't order the ribeye, it's not good". So that was our fault. It was just like he said, not good.

A wise man once told me only order a steak at a steak house.

For Jamie’s I would prob get a pasta dish.

  5. I think the security were totally justified in laying the boot to the perpetrators, providing they were kicking the right combatant. If you read the news story linked posted a few posts up, guests were saying this family of 20 was making a habit of starting fights the entire cruise. The article further states that security sought it necessary to follow the around due to their fighting and harassing other guests. As another poster pointed out, security did not have the necessary equipment to deal with such a situation (tasers, stun weapons, or anything more than a notepad and pencil). They had no alternative other than enter the melee to protect other guests, and it would have been foolish for 5’2” Filipino security guards to engage in fisticuffs with those goons.

Quite frankly, though, most of the kicks were pretty wimpy. They should have launched some good authoritative kicks to the head given the size, history and combativeness of the hooligans. I hope Carnival develops some proper training programs out of this.

If they had been walking around doing this the whole cruise; the why weren’t they kicked of the ship while in port, or sitting in the brig?

  6. I recently was talking to friend that is booked on the Vista. Turns out he likes the thermal spa on the Breeze as much as me and booked a suite on Vista just like I did. I told him about my disappointment and encouraged him to book a room with Havana access if possible as that is the only way I see myself going on that ship again.

  7. Yes, I did that when I sailed her in March 2018. Have you sailed her yet?

I have, and it fell way short of “my” expectations; a step down from the Breeze for sure. I’m happy that your standards and expectations were met (that, or you are a Carnival shill, or so overly committed to the brand that you can’t criticize them).

I think the meaning of design flaw can obviously be interpreted in different ways depending on what aspect you are focused on . When you focus on aesthetics, proportion, and overall customer satisfaction it obviously fell short for many of us (not for you...we get it).

  8. We enjoyed her as you did, so much so we sailed her again and on Horizon in July. There are people that post here with a really negative view, a good hint is when someone comes and starts with how good another lines ships are....

I agree; it is literally impossible to dislike a specific cruise ship for valid reasons.
