Hello,
Curious on the pros and cons of a boardwalk balcony that overlooks the water show. Yes I know it is an obstructed view, but at least you see the ocean and the show if you like. I can see maybe the noise being an issue. We were thinking of a room like 12327.
Cons- noise? maybe walk to the elevator etc
Pros- view
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. Makes total sense. We have decided on a 7 nighter now and wife has decided she wants Symphony of the Seas.

Thank you. I'll adjust the original post about the toddler.

What are your thoughts on taking a toddler (3.5 yrs) on the Symphony of the Seas. We would be going with grandparents to help keep her occupied and allow my wife and I some time to see a show, go for a nice dinner etc. Safe? Enough to keep her busy?
Thanks in advance.

Looking for 2 main recommendations:
1) July or August for a Mediterranean cruise? Big price difference?
2) any recommendations on a good 5 night cruise (prefer tropical cruise)? 7 nights may be too long to leave the kiddos for
Thank-you in advance.

what brand of mug do you recommend?

Just curious about pre-booking excursions through RC online? I have heard that booking through the cruiseline costs more but does anybody know what the upcharge is? If its only a few bucks then I don't mind paying for the convenience. For those that don't book through the cruise line, how exactly does that work? When you can ashore is there a tourist booth selling excursions? Can you get excursions that you normally can't through the cruise line?

Thank you for all the replies. One poster suggested room service. Is there a charge for this? I thought I read it was free ( for basic breakfast items) but then saw that there was an 18% gratuity???
-
Is it frowned upon to bring a few insulated mugs on the cruise? I was thinking while the Mrs's is in the shower in the morning I can go down and get us a few coffees and bring them back to the room while we continue to get ready before going down for breakfast.

Thank you for all the replies

But you always pay for soda correct? Except for at the buffet? Unless you have some type of drink package?
-
Thank you. Are they located on the deck or are they a hike to get to?
I have never been on a cruise so I am as newb as it gets. I guess I figured that cola and water would be free on cruises lol like I can’t just go to the bar or restaurant and ask for some water or pop?

Is there a Coca Cola Freestyle Machine on the remodelled adventure of the Seas?
They have VOOM surf + stream for $25 CAD
Or
Cola package + Voom surf and stream for $26 CAD
So I would want the 2nd option if it was easy to get drinks.
Thanks

Could the price be higher because we have a lower class cabin? Or maybe because we are going over the Christmas break? Voom surf and stream is $25.59 for one device. I don’t see it packaged with a sofa package. Did you buy on the boat or ahead of time?
-
Haha ok good to know. I thought I saw that it was around $12-15. I could be wrong though
-
Ah so they try to get you to buy a more expensive internet package beforehand. Then you get on the cruise and see there was a cheaper option but it’s too late. Interesting.
-
Its just weird that I dont even see the Voom Surf at all.
Do the prices change for the shore excursions that I see or are those typically a set price that dont change?
-
We just booked a trip for new years on Adventure of the Seas. When we log onto the site we see $25.59 Canadian per day per adult for Voom Surf + Stream.. Thought I had previously seen that there was a VOOM SURF package that was cheaper????

Hi Keith,
We are indeed sailing out of port Everglades. We are sailing on the Adventure of the Seas and we will be flying Air Canada.
Cab / Uber would be our best bet I assume?
-
Thank you for the replies. We are in fact flying out of FLL. So if we self disembark we can get off earlier? Would some research on the royal Carib website tell me at what time I can self disembark?
-
the adventure of the seas arrives back in port at 530am. At what time can passengers usually leave? Would an 11:30 am flight be too tight for time?
Thanks,
-
First time cruiser here. Our boat docks at 530am. We wanted to book the 11:30 flight home (international flight) but are not sure if that would give us enough time, especially if we cannot exit the boat until 8:30am which seems to be the standard time. How far is the airport? If we couldn’t exit the boat until 8:30,would we have enough time?
Thanks in advance

Hello, first time cruiser here. I kinda liked the idea of having my room with a window facing forward (I understand that there will be more motion) but does anybody have any other advice / feedback about a forward facing window on Deck 7?
Thanks
-
This is a room at the very front with the window facing forward on the boat. Kinda like the idea of this. Any reason to be concerned with this room? I could also have level 3 mid ship.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I think you made my decision harder instead of easier 🙂
My thinking with these rooms were that my two kids would be sleeping by 9ish. So that balcony provides a space for my wife and I to sit and people watch AND if we can see a bit of show / ocean then that is a bonus. Sitting on a balcony and staring at a black ocean doesn’t seem appealing.
