I’m not sure, but it wasn’t good, we were held off the Coast of NJ all day yesterday in the rain, what a great day! Then late into NY people were asked to leave their cabins at 9.30am to stand in hallways till 12pm +
NCL staff were the 1s holding us up outside.
The lines inside for customs were not a problem at all.

What caused the delay in getting of the ship? Why did you have to wait in the cold? I will be on the ship with 2 children under 8. Any advice for disembarking?

Just finally got back to Bellmore, NY after an agonizing 3 days at sea on the Gem.
We missed St Thomas and sat miserable in the Atlantic rain for 2 days to be late into NY.
My 4th Cruise on NCL and by far the worse, lines to get off the boat over 2 hours and for 45 minutes stood in the icy cold weather.
Never seen anything like it before trying to get off the ship, absolutely terrible!

Oh no, it's not worth cancelling and losing your deposit or getting a bill for even more.
I just posted a good article on St. Thomas, that is worth the read. I think the ship calling in St. Thomas will be a last resort when NCL cannot secure a different port. I hope we do not call there, but if we do, shopping and beaches will be the main activities. I predict San Juan, St. Maarten and Tortola won't be ready for my cruise, but I think by February things will be more stable for you. In a way NCL is kind of screwed too, since they want to get the island's tourism resumed, but want to do the right thing by the customer too. Very tough spot to be in.
I have Bermuda booked for May and 14 day Eastern Caribbean in October, but keeping these may now be depend on my revised December itinerary, if they ever announce it.
When is your Cruise Vince?

Lol no just the Cruise Director who kept saying “ welcome to NY “ to the frustrations of the leaving guests.
My 8th Cruise and I’ve never ever witnessed anything like it, the line I was in, 1 man a guest just took control of our line and got us off as the NCL worker just looked totally overwhelmed with everything.
It was that bad I think we will try another Company next.
