  1. We just got off the Miracle with the same ports. Belize and Roatan were our absolute two favorite ports, and probably two of the top places we've ever visited. For Belize we used Grumpy and Happy, took a flight from the municipal airport and snorkeled off of Hol Chan on Ambergris Key. It was phenomenal. We took a cab outside of the port to the airport and never felt remotely unsafe. In Roatan we went with Bodden Tours, ziplined, monkeys/sloths, beach club, and hired a guy for $20 to take us out in his boat to snorkel. It was amazing. Same thing in Roatan- we were all over the island and never felt unsafe. So happy we didn't book things through the ship with the massive groups.

  2. Hi all,

We're cruising the Miracle this weekend and need to purchase WiFi. It looks like there's an option for both guests to have wifi, or just one of us. Do I need to get it for both me and my husband, or can I get it for just one of us with the intention that only one of us will use the wifi at a time?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi all,

We'll be in Grand Cayman next week from 10a-6p for a day. We'll be diving from 11a-2p, and trying to figure out something to do with our afternoon. Not really interested in a beach club, shopping, or super touristy spots. Any recommendations of something unique to do for a couple of hours in the afternoon? Thanks!

  4. We love to snorkel so we did both

We used Happy And Grumpy tours in Belize and snorkeled in Ambergris Caye (look up on trip advisor)

In Roatan, we used Roatan Ocean Adventures (look on Fb or trip advisor)

We snorkeled and visited the Daniel Johnson Monkey and Sloth preserve

What did you think of Happy and Grumpy? We're using them in a few weeks!

  5. Thanks, guys. We’ll be in port from 8-5, so a pretty long time. If we do go to Ambergris Caye, we’ll definitely go with a reliable tour operator. I’ve been looking at Grumpy and Happy, and they seem really reliable. Thanks again!

We are using Grumpy and Happy- they've been awesome to work with so far!

  6. This will be our 6th cruise but 1st time to Belize. We frequently take excursions outside of the cruise ship but am worried to do this with Belize being new to us/a tender port. I’m really interested in taking the 15-20 min flight to Ambergris Caye, though. Thoughts?

I'm doing it on July 8th! We are snorkeling and booked privately with someone who is managing our flight, excursion, and return back. Everything I've read makes it sound very easy! I'm just a little concerned about the safety of taking the taxi from the port to the municipal airport.

  7. I'm following this. I've never been to Grand Cayman, but have no interest in the Turtle Farm or Stingray City. We are into adventurous stuff, and mostly booked this cruise for the two other ports we're interested in: Roatan and Belize. My cruise is about 50 days away and I still can't decide what to do in Grand Cayman!

  8. Hi all,

Headed to Belize in July and trying to figure out excursions. We really want to spend as much time on Caye Caulker as possible. Carnival has the shark, ray excursion that gives you an hour on Caye Caulker which just doesn't seem like enough time. I've read stories about Coral Breeze cancelling and don't feel super confident about booking with them. Is there another option to get to Caye Caulker? Should we just stick with the ship excursion? We don't want to take the water taxi.

  9. I have done the tour with Coral Breeze... Made it back in plenty of time. They do this every day, and would not be in business with a record of making people late for the ship. If you're really up for adventure, I did the same tour through shoreexcursioneer that took a small plane from Belize City to Ambergris Caye, then a small boat to shark ray alley and Hol Chan marine park. (tour is called Belize shark ray alley and Hol Chan marine park by air) With this option, you spend way less time traveling back and fourth to the snorkeling site.

I'm interested in this trip...how long did the entire tour take you? We're in port 8a-5pm.

  10. Our family did this excursion with Native Way on 2/12/18. Awesome experience!!!! Very personable crew- Solomon and David were great!

How long were you in port when you went on this excursion? It looks awesome but not sure we have enough time!

  11. Just book through Carnival and then submit a price protection for the cheapest local vendor you can find. I pocketed $300 in credits using this plan on my Miracle cruise a month ago.

How were you able to do this? I've heard that the excursions have to match exactly (lunch, transport, etc.) and Carnival will argue with you and explain that the excursion is not the same due to these factors. I'm interested in doing this for my cruise! Thanks!

  12. Hi all!

My husband and I are cruising Cozumel this summer with Carnival. This is a trip without our daughter, and we normally like adventurous stuff. We are also cruising Roatan, Belize, and Grand Cayman. We're having trouble deciding what to do in Cozumel. Chankanaab looks amazing- we love animals... but is it mostly geared towards kids? We're snorkeling in Belize and don't feel the need to snorkel here. We're not really the type to sit around in beach chairs. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
