  1. HI

On MSC Seaside Cruise Chat on Facebook someone posted that the Casino has mirrored floors and the main walk way the floor is open , of which they are stating "allows people to look up women's dresses." They also are warning people to the fact, that "the men's bathroom on the 6th floor near the theater has full mirror ceiling and wall ..so while washing your hands and glance up you can see off the ceiling to the front side of the guys urinal " which allows you to see the person relieving himself.

I have never heard this mentioned.. It doesn't affect me wanting to book with the Seaside, but my best friend read it and it seems to have drawn some concerns with her desire to book.

I personally think this is a bit exaggerated.. ,but could someone shed some light on this so I can alleviate her concerns?

    Thanks so much

It's exaggerated and only a tale. The casino does have mirrored floors but they are distorted and gold and not actual reflective like a real mirror. I don't know about the men's bathroom... I guess you can use a stall or don't use that bathroom if it is really a concern.

  2. It's for the duration of the cruise and totally worth the cost of the massage! The Thermal Spa was one of my favorite places on the ship! It ranked right up there with the Champagne bar and the Venchi Chocolate & Coffee Bar!

  3. I was disappointed with the service level as well. I was on the ship in April and the service can be improved. I also didn't think the food was all that great. However, like many of the folks here, I was there to enjoy myself, so found the things that made me happy and had a wonderful cruise! I don't think MSC is for everyone, just like the other cruise lines.

  4. I need to correct my own post!! We have the Drinks on Us package on this MSC cruise and it does include limited mixed drinks etc.in bars etc.

We have a world cruise with Costa in 2020. That package includes beer and wine in MDR and buffet. So maybe I'll get tackled on that cruise. I'll be even older then.

Now I really want to try and get tackled! :P

  5. I always go for a balcony when I can and I enjoyed our room on the Seaside very much. We spent a lot of time in the Casino and for the most part the smoke was not bad unless you were on mixed in with the smokers.

I found the service to be mixed. Sometimes I had extremely excellent service, sometimes, it was just OK. Our waiter was nice, but it feels like I have had a better experience on other ships.

I enjoyed all the food, in both the MDR and the buffet. However, again, it felt a little less elegant than other ships.

Overall though, I had a wonderful time and thought the ship was beautiful and am sailing again in November!

  6. Thank you for the response but I was looking for someone that was on the MSC Seaside, since it’s a newer ship most reports are positive about the speed of the internet. My main interest is to know if services like FaceTime and YouTube are blocked from those with the Standard internet package on the Seaside.

Was on the Seaside and You can use both YouTube and FaceTime with the package, but you will run through your data super fast using these! We never had a problem with the speed.

  7. I have been unable to access my July fjords booking for over a week. Each time I log on I am brought to a December 2016 sailing. I have to log out and not sign in and just use my booking # to view my particulars! Aargh!

I have this same problem. I really hate their website...

  8. 1200 points for 30% off, 9,999 points for free cruise @ $2.50/point ( or so we were told)

    Enjoy and win

    Safe sailing

There are at least two different programs to get free cruises. One is with the straight point like stated here, but there is also a program for the VIP cruises. This one isn't based off of straight points, but with some calculation on how much you spend combined with how much time you spend in the casino. We talked with the Casino Marketing Manager on our last free VIP casino cruise and he told us they have some secret formula for that. We have won two cruises now with VIP Casino Cruise program and we didn't hit the 9,999 points, but spent a lot of time in the casino. Hope this helps.

  9. We received a free cruise on and went on the Seaside in April. We had a Fantasica experience with a balcony room at no cost. When we got back, we had won another one and decided to upgrade this one to the YC. We had to pay $1200 each for the upgrade on Divinia in November for the 10day. Plus, while you are on the free cruise, it is also a VIP casino cruise with special gifts and drawings for the VIP cruise members and free drinks in the casino! It was WONDERFUL!
