  1. Just got back from 2/20 sailing.

    Deck - 9

    Cabin # - 9329

    Class – B1

Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Furthest Aft Boardwalk Balcony cabin

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Not quiet, Boardwalk noise always seeping in. But not too loud to sleep.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Privacy is non-existent for Boardwalk cabins. However, can't beat the view. We watched Oasis of Dreams in the Aqua Theater, movies on the big screens, and pool events from the balcony. Also got to see the ocean, ports off the back of the ship.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Felt smallish because the front was rounded. Big enough for the bistro table and chairs that were on it.

    Was wind a problem? No

Any specific problems with this cabin? No

Any other comments? I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again.

  2. Just back from Alaska/Vancouver. Thanks to all for your great advice before we left.

We managed to take in a BC Lions game, spent some time at Stanley Park and got to see the baby Beluga whale at the Aquarium. Also spent a few hours on Granville Island.

I was a little disappointed with the Pan Pacific. It is a nice hotel on the waterfront but, it was not really at the level I expected. Fortunately, we had a good corporate rate so I don't feel I overpaid. The other issue with the hotel, which I have seen mentioned above is that dining is VERY expensive and it can be a long walk to any alternatives.

BTW, the food court at the Waterfront Center opens before noon on Sunday. My 10 yo DS insisted on breakfast at McDonald's on Sunday morning and they were open in time for breakfast.

  3. This is an amzing thread. Thank you all for the information contained here!

We (mom and 10 year old son) will be spending about 2 1/2 days in Vancouver post-cruise from July 18th to late in the day on the 20th. We are staying at the Pan Pacific where I got an incredible corporate rate.

Any ideas for must do while we are visiting for a sports-nut kid that loves to explore new cities? I was considering trying to get tickets for a BC Lions game on July 18th. Are tickets hard to get and is it difficult to get to and from the stadium?

Is there a Tim Hortons anywhere near our hotel? My son got hooked when we were in Toronto last year. Any restaurants that you could recommend for kids? Nothing too upscale, good food and maybe a little fun.
