  1. When booking with OC I was able to receive a $500 per stateroom On Board Credit when charging my cruise to my AMEX Platinum Card. I did not have to use the AMEX Travel Agency. Instead my independent TA was able to get the OBC from AMEX and apply it to my booking. I just learned that NC has not yet finalized an OBC Program with AMEX Platinum but it is likely to be $300 per stateroom instead of $500 if and when it is approved. I called AMEX and they said my TA should call the Cruise Department at AMEX Platinum and request the OBC on the two Serenity cruises I have booked.
If you charge your cruises to an AMEX Platinum Card has your TA heard about this pending new program and what are they saying?

Thank you for any information you can share.

    Kind Regards

  2. I am taking my first HAL cruise on the Rotterdam next July. Does anyone have a copy of the current list of the cost of drinks on the SBP? I saw an old list and the selection of Chardonnay by the glass was quite disappointing. Have they added more of a selection?

    Thank you.

  3. Can someone help me understand the disembarkation process at the pier in Brooklyn after a crossing. I plan to be among the first off the ship either in the first group or as an independent passenger. I do not expect any problem with either customs or immigration as I am an American citizen. What time should I order a limo to collect me at the arrivals terminal to take me to LaGuardia? I would like the driver to meet me holding a sign with my name on it to expedite the process. Which limo company has dependable drivers so I can easily make my 11:20 AM flight?

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  4. I read that Todd English was going to be on board the QM2 from New York to Boston this week. He is said to be showing the chef a new menu for his restaurant on board the ship to be introduced straight away. Can anyone on the ship now send details or a photograph of his new menu?

    Thank you very much!

  5. According to Princess you can have any alcoholic drink or glass of wine in this package as long as the cost is under $10.00. And if you want to order a bottle of wine in the dining room they will sell it to you at a 40% discount.

My questions are: If you want to have wine in the dining room or in Sabatini's will they pour unlimited glasses of wine as part of the Drinks Package or must you buy the wine by the bottle only?

Who pours the wine? The wine steward or your waiter once you have made your selection?

I appreciate very much a kind reply from those of you who have experienced the new wine package program. Thank you very much.
