Looking at this from a different angle.... there are also people still cruising who feel the same way about quarantining who aren't symptoms to medical just to avoid getting quarantined.

I think my concern is bring forced to quarantine because of being identified as a contact. I'm sure there are many who aren't reporting for fear of isolation. My fear is being isolated because I sat by someone who has it.

That is exactly why we cancelled our cruise.  We should be driving to Fort Lauderdale this morning to get on the ship, and I do feel sad about it.  Overall, though, I feel relief at having finally made a decision after weeks of agonizing.  And I feel happy anticipation at the thought of that same cruise to be taken on May 28, hopefully when cruising is closer to “normal”.

Agreed! The 'do we, don't we' has been causing so much anxiety.

Scared of contracting a disease with minimal symptoms that I have been vaccinated and boosted for?  No.

Scared of a forced quarantine and/or altered travel plans?  Yes.

Scared of missing ports and canceled shows?  Yes.

I'm ia group of 12 set to sail on Anthem Jan 20. A few of us are health compromised,  and a few of us have or had covid (mild). But we feel the same. All traveling from Canada, so added costs of flights/hotel. It is spending all the $$ to not be able to enjoy all the ship has to offer, miss the ports (a few new cruisers with us) and potentially end up in isolation.

For many of us this is our only annual vacation. It only makes sense to put it off. But, we are waiting to see what may happen prior to canceling. It appears Anthem isn't feeling too well.
