Thanks very much to all who have responded so far. Your reviews are very helpful. I had truly hoped the bad things we read were not as terrible as portrayed because we really want to cruise to the Canary Islands.

 

Does anyone have insider info on which cabins would be the best to look for and did NCL offer the chance to bid on the upgrades on this itinerary? The last cruise we did just this past Thanksgiving we had the chance to bid and won an upgrade to a Suite from a Mid Ship mini suite for just $500 each. We had some serious issues with the room but NCL worked with us to make it right. So I would not be adverse to trying an upgrade again.

I just received an upgrade email for March

For me a ship can be old. It should be clean and the staff should like to work on it to entertain us visitors :)

Not that I am aware of, at least in the non suite rooms.

 

Beds by the balcony really only came along from the Epic onwards, although other ships do have the odd room with that layout. I’m not aware of any such rooms on the Spirit though.

Soon I will be boarding the NCL Spirit.

And I love to have the bed next to the window/Balcony.

Does anyone know if the NCL Spirit offer that layout.

I only found pictures and videos with the couch next to the window.
