Town is close to the port (within a mile). Can't help with the taxi cost as we just walk and use the local bus, when we go up to the castle.

Hi all! Cruising from Dover in about 6 weeks. Arriving early morning of the cruise via a train from London (after spending 4 days there). Was hoping there was a convenience store/grocery store either close to the port or close to the Dover train station? Would prefer to get a case of soda and some wine there vs. lugging it from London. Another option is if there is a store close to the Dover Castle. Planning to drop our stuff and go to the castle for 2-3 hours.
I assume taxis are easy to catch from the port and from the castle? Roughly what should this cost each way for 2 people?

Know all of mine as well but how well do you reallllly know everyone, unless you have a small # of FB friends. Going on a B2B2B in Europe and not trying to brag/show off to friends/family who arent as fortunate.

We have a small portion of my brother's ashes in a small ziplock bag. The funeral home but some ashes in smaller bags for his siblings and my mom has the large urn. Is it a problem to scatter the ashes vs. having a biodegradable urn? So we are not "surprised" is there a charge for Carnival setting this up?

Anyone who's been on the Legend this summer, I wondered what the Playlist Production shows were? We cruise in August, 9 night. Saw a website that listed shows on the various ships but it wasnt correct for our most recent cruise, so I wanted to hear from the source- someone who's recently been on Legend. I think the website listed 4 shows including the Brits and Studio VIP. Hoping for those 2. The other 2 I had seen. Thanks!

True it doesn't happen everyday but any flight before 2pm is sure to raise your blood pressure
It doesnt have to do with port clearance for us? We are staying in Rome 3 days. Taking the Leonardo Express to the airport after 3 nights in Rome.

Our train arrives early a.m. in Dover and we will drop our luggage at the port and probably have 4 1/2 or 5 hrs. before coming back to board the ship. We cruise often and would rather spend some time exploring vs. being on the ship ASAP. Is it easy to catch a taxi from the port to go to the castle? Or is there somewhere else in Dover you would suggest visiting for a few hours? Thank you!

Looking at train tickets from the Port Civitavecchia. The earliest I see for our August date is 8:20 a.m. (bus to train station). Then arrives in Termini at 9:48. The bus service doesnt start till 8:20? Thought I saw on here it was 7:00/7:30 beginning? Was hoping to catch an earlier train. Or does that mean all the earlier ones are booked? Hard to believe. Wondered time recent cruisers have disembarked? This is the end of our cruise and only have 2 full days in Rome unfortunately.

Hi all! For those that disembarked in Civitavecchia and stayed in Rome, did you pre-book your train ticket? It says we port at 6:00 a.m. but was thinking maybe of doing an 8:30 a.m.ish train time. Wasnt sure if I should pre-book this or just show up along with everyone else disembarking from our cruise. Thanks!

Hello- this summer we will be doing a cruise from Dover to Rome. It stops in Portugal (which we have spent quite a bit of time in) and Spain. We've planned so much for London and Rome and know Lisbon and Porto really well; but havent done any planning for the 4 Spain ports. Please send any ideas for the ports below. Each has 9 or 10 hours there. Which do we 100% need a tour for (we prefer private/small groups tours vs. ship tours, so please recommend some) and which ports can we take a cab/Uber to do something close to port. Open to doing tours when needed but prefer to explore on our own. Thank you in advance!
