My husband and I are avid internet users..although we have looked at the price of internet for our first 2 week cruise coming up next week and it is £150 for 1 device, £500 for 2!..what do people tend to do? Do you just book a day here and there when onboard? It seems a crazy amount of money to spend..eek

I thought it would be nice to try the other restaurants too..

Is it worth getting a WIFI package? We use the internet on our phones and laptop on a daily basis but have heard the internet connected onboard is pretty bad?

Hi,
We are taking our first cruise this Aug for 14 nights. Which restaurants would you recommend we go to as I understand we have to pay extra to eat anywhere else apart from the MDR? thanks

Thank you Ashland!!!

Thank you so much KitKat. I am aware that space isn't always guaranteed. I've not read anywhere yet that passengers have had issues getting a space but as you say if the ship is full with children under 36 months it might pose a problem. I guess that is just a risk we will have to take.

I emailed the ship's concierge and they confirmed that when at port it is open 9am - midnight. Phew!

Thank you Kit Kat, this is really helpful. I have also posted this question to the ship's concierge

It is Independence of the Seas. There is a nursery. My main concern is not being able to fully enjoy days on land, (just the 2 of us) if we have to rush back at 12pm to take our child out of nursery for the 2 hours it is closed. I have emailed the concierge to find out if the opening times are different when on land and am awaiting a reply..

Thanks..I've also been scanning previous threads..it is Independence of the Seas..

We are first time cruisers travelling later this year with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I spoke with Royal Caribbean to get some more information on their Royal Tots program, (which we will need to pay for) for our 2 year old and they said the club is open 9am - 12pm, 2pm - 5pm and 7pm - 10pm.
Is this correct? The travel agency provided me with different information in regards to opening times!
During the hours it is closed we will have to arrange for a babysitter which is $19 p/h. I've also been told it is first come first served . I imagine we would want to utilise babysitters during days on land..
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Does one of us need to be onboard when we are using a babysitter?
Do we need to tell them on the first day when we will envision needing a babysitter for the rest of the cruise?
I'm veering towards changing the cruise to a P&O ship as I understand from 2 years and above the club is free and open all day plus a night nursery until 2am as well...thoughts? TIA

Thank you Clare-ea. Do you happen to know if the opening times of Royal Tots I mentioned in my post are correct? Even the lady I spoke to in customer services wasn't sure..
