Just wanting to make certain that formal nights on the Liberty are nights 2 and 6 for the western 7 night itinerary? Trying to plan when to schedule Chefs dinner...Thanks in advance...
-
We paid for the voom internet for 1 device on the Liberty....I was wondering...does that mean only one device can be connected at a time? If we have a phone and tablet can we "take turns"? Be on the phone in the morning...log off and log back on using the tablet next? Thanks!

Check your roll call...we saved tons of bucks doing "private group tours"...and made lifelong friends as well!

Great info! Thanks...we are sailing out of Southampton with our last stop being LaHavre. I think we will probably end our cruise one day early to have a few days in Paris before heading back home. 😊
-
We normally are lucky enough to be able to swing a balcony cabin, however for our upcoming 14 day in Europe we just cannot so we are going for a promenade...friends have stayed in one when traveling with us so I know it will be a bit smaller than we are used to, but we are looking forward to a different view, and saving enough $$ by doing the switch to pay one of our round trip airfares...I've been told deck 7 will get us great view of parades, people watching etc. while not being too noisy from shops below...I'm curious where the "bridge" is in respect to cabin numbers....and what's your fav prom cabin? I know I don't want too close to the ends...but how far in the middle do I want to be?
Thanks bunches!

Thank you all...I would have chosen deck 8...going for 7 now!

If given the option of any promenade cabin on the Navigator which would would you choose and why?
Thanks bunches!

According to a website that can't be named that sailing and the Indy on 2/28 are showing regular price decreases starting today, not a C and A certificate
I'm so confused:eek:
Happened to me too...saw the military rate on "another" website however RCL insists that that rate includes the c and a discount....no way another site could do that for you....even had a screenshot of the other website....they didn't care..no budge...I want and believe I should get that advertised rate and my balcony discount...they say it is a c and a and not combinable....not cool!
-
Call them back. Try a different rep. Do it a few times. If this doesn't work, ask for a supervisor.
I did speak to a supervisor...who then spoke to his supervisor....the story that they are sticking to is that there was an "system error" in making the $844 military rate available to those not c and a members and that the $844 indeed is inclusive of a c and a discount of 150 pp....I learned...I will take a screenshot of what I see next time...I was a travel agent years ago and I know what I saw...I saw rate of 1199 discounted 355 pp for military rate...they say I saw 205pp military discount and a 150 c and a discount...I did not! It said $355 pp military discount! I sent a Email....we will see if I get a response....
-
I am arguing with Rccl regarding a price drop....Indy March 14, last night the military rate dropped 150 pp...their website and another showed the rate as $844....originally had $994.... They adjust to the new price but I "lose" my balcony discount of $225....they are telling me now that my rate of $844 included a savings certificate of 150pp... Which of course is more than 225...and I cannot apply both! I say BS! The military rate was 844... No mention of a discount anywhere... And how would another travel site have the "special" c and a rate showing when nowhere did I tell the site who I was or what my status was....there was obviously some sort of glitch in their system and they won't stand behind what was advertised...ugh!!!!

Indy is not going to galveston.
So is the Navigator staying year round? Another ship coming in instead?
-
I thought the rest of the Caribbean itineraries were to be released last week...anyone hear anything about when they will be released? I am hoping the Indy comes to Galveston and want to book pronto!
Thanks,
Bonnie

My mom is on the ship now....they have been told they should dock at around 1:30 and to expect the off loading to take up to 3 hours....they booked a hotel for the night so they don't drive home is the dark....I feel for those with flights to catch!
-
They are showing one grand suite left...$757 pp....wish I could go!

Booking 100 rooms and getting the military discount for all? Come on now....that's not even what I was looking to do....I was seeing if my husband could pay theroom rate and extra room and port taxes on an empty berth....not the same thing at all....I understand that it can't be done
Jeez....I forget how "judgemental" some people can get.....let's face it....splitting up a senior, or a c and a member to give your "benefit" to someone else is just as "dishonest" ....yes, it is "legal", but the outcome is the same....giving a discount to someone who didn't qualify for it rightfully on their own.....it's still not "right" is it? But it's done everyday I am sure....and surely none of you all reading this post would ever think of doing that!
And for he record....If you go back to my original post I asked if this way of booking was possibility...I really didn't expect to be called "dishonest"....
Obviously there are some on the boards who feel "holier than thou" and felt the need to put me, who unintentionally tried to "break" rules in "my place"....I have opinions of you as well.....but unlike you I will keep them to myself...
That being said.....I hope everyone, yes everyone, has a wonderful holiday season! Try to remember these boards are for sharing knowledge....and opinions when asked....I truly don't remember asking for opinions...it was knowledge I was seeking....and thanks to all who informed me without preaching....it is very much appreciated!:)

A Jr suite would cramp hubby's style... And my daughter would say no way! But thanks anyway....yes, there is only one person who technically qualifies for the rate, I just thought since the berth was going empty it might be able to be done....
Rccl is so lax with the military discount they have never asked anyone we know who has used the rates to present the proof....including us! The rate we have now is just as good with moms senior discount and c and a savings certificate so alls well that ends well....I really wasn't trying to be "dishonest"... Just trying to save a buck....and I really didn't think of the senior discount so once again.... Thanks!
We just sailed with friends....wish we would have done the switcharoo for them....we could have gotten them our balcony discount....we know for next time!
-
Even if this was not caught ahead of time, it would be caught at check in...and your daughter would end up paying the MUCH higher rate of whatever Revenue decides the room is worth on day of sailing. You don't want that. She doesn't want that. Don't cheat the system. Her room doesn't qualify for the military rate. What you are attempting to do is dishonest.
And before anyone says it, it is not the same as breaking up two seniors (or crown and anchor members, etc) that will be staying together into two rooms so both rooms qualify for a senior rate. In that instance two people qualify, in this case only one does.
Wow....dishonest huh? That's your opinion....but thanks for the lowdown on breaking up the seniors and c and a members! My parents who are traveling with us are diamond and seniors so with a little switcharoo the discount is even better! I personally do not see the difference but to each his own....;)
-
We are a family of 3... Hubby and I in one cabin and our adult daughter in another.... She is paying the single rate for her inside cabin but if we put her dad in her room (as well as ours) we could qualify for the military rate....I am aware we would have to pay taxes and port fees for 2 but the savings is more than that.... So, is this something that can be done?
Thanks!

Who knows how the invitees are chosen....we just got back from our 15th RCI cruise.... We took 5 "new cruisers" with us....4 cabins total....3 in JS, 1 in a E-3.... Reservations all linked, celebrations ( birthday and an anniversary) were duly noted....our friends who have never cruised before, staying in the E-3, get the invite to dine with the Captain at CHOPS on the night of our friends birthday! It was funny....we all would meet in our cabin before dinner and they came in with the invite thinking we all must have gotten one....when they realized we all weren't invited they called and politely declined....we had reservations that evening at Portofinos....
Maybe someday we will get the invite.....not holding my breath! Lol!;)

I am there! :)

I will admit I was hoping for Wicked....but Mama Mia is a great choice as well...and I have to agree...we saw the Abba tribute on the Serenade last year....everyone left that theatre happy and singing along!

I would love to see the Quantum go to Pt. Canaveral. Pt. Canaveral is expanding her port to accommodate huge ships such as the Allure/Oasis, it be wonderful to see the Quantum come here.
I am booked on the Quantum and she is docking at Pt Canaveral....not the greatest itinerary...Nassau, Port Canaveral and Cococay out of Bayonnne...sailing for the ship so I really didn't care....though we are looking forward to going to the space enter...

Hi....Sailing on the 30th and we have booked some independent tours....will we be staying on "ship time" or will we adjust our clocks to islands time which seem to be one hour later? Thanks in advance!
