We are longtime RCCL cruisers looking forward to our first Celebrity cruise on the Silhouette.
(1) Do they have a piano bar like the Schooner Bar on RCCL ships?
(2) What kind of evening shows and entertainment are offered? Is there somewhere I could see a sample list from previous cruises?
Thanks in advance

Thanks, the cruise is in March, just doing some research on locations and pricing.
We were hoping for a location outside an airport was we will need this a couple of days after we fly in. Spending a few days in Florida before we cruise

We are taking a transatlantic cruise which requires a COVID test 2 days prior to boarding. We will be in Florida before cruise. Looking for recommendations on where to get this done. Thank you

We are driving to and from Buffalo for our flight to Florida.
Does anyone have recent experience on crossing the land border after a cruise? We are getting our PCR test onboard Royal. We are curious how many are getting a “random” additional test crossing back into Canada?
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone
Hoping not to add to the confusion
i spoke to Manulife today, as I am considering their “Cover Me” travel insurance. The rep I spoke to says that due to the Level 4 warning on cruising, they will not cover medical expenses due to COVID but will cover emergency medical on cruises.
We are sailing with Royal Caribbean who have a “We’ll get you home policy” if one of us gets COVID-19, so I think we’re covered.

As a family who eagerly looks forward to the Quest, can you please explain how it's changed?

As a new Diamond member planning my next cruise, I was pleased to hear about the coffee machine that can make lattes! 😁
However I have a question - ,do they have flavoured syrups available? If not, I'll either have to bring my own or head to Starbucks in the morning.
Thanks in advance

Do you know if they had Sushi in the Jade section of the Windjammer?

So, if after all the exchange rate and everything else is considered, if the AU rate or the UK rate is cheaper, you feel you should get it at those rates also?
No, I only think that if they say the rate is based on Canadian residency, then honour the rate for Canadian residents. The difference in rate for us is much greater than the exchange rate (despite how bad our exchange rate is in CAD vs USD!)
-
Can't you just cancel the cruise and rebook the new price?
Unfortunately no, it's past final payment date. We cruise over Christmas.
-
Then the rate is not preferred for the passenger's residency, it's based on the travel agencies location. That was my argument to RCCL. Don't call it one thing, when it's actually another.

We normally book direct with Royal Caribbean, but for this particular cruise, we transferred our reservation to the online travel agency primarily for theadditional perks that they offered such as pre-paid gratuities and specialty dining etc. We are Canadian and this travel agency is US based. (The importance of this will become apparent shortly!)
After we booked, we wanted to explore changing the cabin for our adult children to move from a 3 person cabin with an upper berth to one with the fold down sofa. Thiswould be much more comfortable for a nine day cruise.
When we checked on the Royal Caribbean website for the availability of a cabin for 3 with a fold down sofa, there was one available in an upgraded category. Because we are Canadian, the fares were displayed to us in Canadian funds.
The difference in cruise fare appeared to be about $80-90 (depending on theexchange rate) and we contacted our travel agent to see about changing cabins. Whenour travel agent attempted to upgrade the cabin, however the pricing she gotfor the new cabin was $449 additional cost.
I’ve escalated the issue to Crown and Anchor and to Michael Bayley’s office and the official answer is that although a lower rate may be available to Canadians (in Canadian currency), we cannot take advantage of it because we booked through a US travel agency.
We are extremely disappointed that we would have to pay an additional $350 for a cabin, simply because our travel agency is based in the US. We are Canadians, and if there is a lower price for Canadians, I don’t see why we cannot benefitfrom it. RCCL could simply offer a price adjustment to accommodate this situation, but refuse to do so.
So the bottom line, if you are Canadian and you book through a US travel agency, youwill not be able to benefit of special Canadian pricing!

Thanks for posting.
For some reason I can't open on my IPad, but can on my computer?

Relax, breath, you are on vacation. Enjoy the Allure, we did.
This is our 4th time on the Allure - we love it! We definitely plan to relax, have a beach day planned for every port and can't wait to enjoy the solarium and hot tubs on sea days.
Our family enjoys formal night and MDR....it's a special tradition for us.....as is the Quest....we have a family history of team captains with lots of laughs and funny photos.
We want to ensure that are plans include these events that we look forward too...

FYI - I emailed RCCL Dining to confirm and they said formal nights are Day 2 and 5. Day 5 is Jamaica and we depart @ 4:00pm, so that is a bit better. [emoji3]

We're going on the same cruise in early Feb so are also curious re: times for quest, Central Park tour etc. We have early seating which I thought was at 6pm. Did it change to earlier? How do we find out?
We found out on our cruise documents from RCCL, which we received last week

We are planning for our upcoming cruise (Allure Western February 19) and wanted to confirm formal nights, Love and Marriage and Quest scheduling. Can anyone who recently cruised confirmed the days and times?
Based on previous experience and reading other posts, formal nights may be on days 2 & 6. We are hoping this is not the case. For this cruise for day 6 were are scheduled to be in Labadee until 6:30pm, and with early dinner now at 5:30 - this is not ideal. We much prefer formal nights on sea days.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

A few years ago we found my daughters prom dress at Macy's at the Galleria mall. Great selection and we got an excellent sale price.

I read a few reviews that on the Allure some of the Mamma Mia cast do a show of Broadway Tunes in one of the bars. Has anyone been or can check their Compass for day and time? We are on Western Caribbean in January and would like to make sure we see it.
Thanks in advance

Could any recent cruises on Allure Western Caribbean tell us which nights were formal nights?
Thanks in advance

If ship stays on Florida time, there will actually be a time difference of one hour. Our meeting time of 9:00am local time becomes 8:00am ship time ( at least I think so!)

Could you tell me if the ship time changed at all during the cruise? Or did you stay of Ft Lauderdale time? We have booked some private tours and want to ensure we don't get mixed up between local and ship time? Thanks in advance
