  1. This is our first cruise so we are entirely unfamiliar with what you pay/dont pay for on the ship.  We booked Aqua, with a deal for 150 pp in on board credit (For a total of 300) and also got a deal for prepaid gratuities.

What do you suggest utilizing credit for? Can you use it at Casinos? Spa? Do we need to pay anything for food?  Are all drinks free or only non-alcoholic?  Neither of us are huge drinkers so I feel like a drink package may be too much for us.  We may have a few drinks a day each.

For reference Celebrity Infiniti 5 night Caribbean leaving Nov 24th

  2. This is my first cruise, and I figured that there would be some kind of itinerary of shows and events taking place on the ship, yet i cannot find that information anywhere.  Am I missing something?  My cruise leaves Nov 24th so I assumed it would be up by now.

  3. Hi, I am on a Celebrity Cruise which docks a day in Cozumel from 7am - 6pm.  I am looking at excursions on the Celebrity site, but am disappointed none of them list the departure/return times, only max length.

We are hoping to find a fun short excursion that leaves us room to explore Cozumel ourselves and hopefully see some culture/less touristy spots.

    Any recommendations?

  4. Hi, how can I find out what types of activities will be offered on my cruise ship? (Infinity). Is it just too early for that information to be posted somewhere, or do you not know for sure until you sail? I will be sailing in late November on a 5 night to the Caribbean so perhaps its too early...

  5. Hi, I am so glad this subforum exists! I just booked a carribean cruise and have been overweight far too long. This is going to be a reward for my weight loss, and the first time I've been in a swimsuit for years.

I started Keto in October and already have lost 30 pounds. I am sure by November I will be at my goal, and working on improving my fitness/muscular tone.

    What are your goals?

  6. Hi guys,

I just booked my first ever cruise for November on Celebrity Infinity, Aqua Class. I have a couple questions, if you dont mind?

    1. Is there a way to tell in advance if the room I booked (9055) is below any noisy areas? I saw some maps but only of the cabin floor and selected a room that looked like it was farther away from common areas like laundry and elevator, but I don't see a way to find out whats above me.

    2. There were some perk options so I chose onboard spending and pre-paid gratuity. Can someone explain how pre-paid gratuity will work? If I order anything to my room does their tip automatically get deducted from this? Can the onboard spending be used for anything like drinks, casinos, etc?

    3. I am wondering if drinks like coffee are included in cruise price or do I need to order a drink package? We don't drink a lot (maybe will have one drink a day) and mostly drink water so I didn't upgrade to a beverage package. I like REALLY strong coffee...and would love to have some delivered to my room in the mornings. Is there a way to request this or do I need to sign up for a drinks package?

    4. It wouldn't let us choose a dining time because I guess we go to Blu...do we just eat at Blu whenever we want? Have you ever experienced a long wait for Blu during dinner hours?

  7. I am planning a short cruise - 5 days, maybe 7 where it looks like we will only be a port for a day. Some of the excursions I like are around 6.5 hours, which makes me nervous about missing the cruise ship. Is this something to be worried about? Will the boat wait for you, or are you screwed in this case?

  8. Do you normally book through the cruise site directly, a booking engine (if so which one?) or a travel agent?

Also after reading some threads I'd like to figure out how to ensure I wont be on a ship with a large group that takes everything over.

  9. Hi all,

First time cruiser here, and trying to get over my fear of boats so looking for a 5-7 day in the Caribbean. Considering booking in Nov through either Celebrity or Princess.

    1. Is November too risky with hurricane season?

    2. Will waters/weather still be warm enough for a swim?

    3. What are your favorite ports in the Carribbean? Still deciding which cruise to take.

    4. Any other good 5 day cruises you would recommend? I am in Texas and since I am not a book party person, chose not to go with Carnival.

    Thanks so much!
