  1. We are doing two cruises.  Northbound on Celebrity Millenium on June 10, Vancouver to Seward, Southbound on Royal Princess, Whittier to Vancouver,  on 2 July.  Two weeks in Alaska between them.  I am concerned about the testing requirements but have decided we will just figure it out when the time comes closer.   I am hoping (this might be a false hope) that the testing requirements are dropped and only the vaccinations are required.   It is me and my three young adult children.   This June works out perfectly for us as it is a graduation present for them as they are all graduating (high school, college, and master's program) and will be getting full time jobs where they likely won't be able to take a month off.   I am not getting any younger and we are planning on a lot of hiking so I am going to seize the opportunity and make it work.   Also,  I believe that if Canada closes it borders again the cruise lines will cancel their cruises as many/most of their passengers are US citizens.

  2. You could do a self guided museum tour.  The Museum of Catalan Art (MNAC) is fantastic - both the building and the collection.   Nearby is Joan Miro museum.  They are both in Parc de Montjuic.  I took the subway there to include the special "train" they have that goes up the hill/mountain.  The views of Barcelona from Montjuic are wonderful.  From MNAC I walked down the stairs, bordered by beautiful fountains, to the subway stop at Placa d'Espanya. I believe Montjuic is also on the Hop On Hop Off Bus route.   Another interesting museum is https://www.barcelona.de/en/barcelona-museum-city-history.html.   They have excavated portions of the old city under the Gothic district.   We found it fascinating.

MSC Cruises are cheap by comparison to most others and you get what you pay for without doubt.  Check out Cruise critic Reviews of the ship, most are 3star rated whilst Princess, HAL and Celebrity are 4+star rated.  MSC Yacht Club is double / treble the standard cabin prices and the difference is incomparable as other have said.  Is YC worth it, Not anymore.
The important question to ask, is MSC trustworthy?  Answer - definitely NOT.

I am considering a MSC Fantasia cruise in the Med.   Why, in your assessment, is MSC not trustworthy?

  4. We are considering a full day tour of Palma de Mallorca with SpainDayTours.  The tour includes visiting these locations in Palma:  cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the city’s ancient walls, the Lonja building, or the City Hall and a beautiful panoramic view of the city from the Bellver Castle and a visit to Valldemossa including the Carthusian Monastery with its beautiful gardens and 17th and 18th century cloisters.

If anyone has done this tour I would appreciate their thoughts on it.   We enjoy history, music, art, architecture and beautiful scenery.
