  1. Yes, DW and I have both had substantial wins on slot machines on cruise ships. A jackpot can happen (or not) with each and every spin, no matter whether the machine is located on land or on a ship.

And of course the casino revenue is part of the overall profit or loss for every cruise. Casinos (both land and sea) can calculate very closely what revenue they can expect for every day, based on the mix of payback percentages they have set on their machines, and their past history of the amount of gambling likely to occur on any cruise or day at different times of the year.

Believe me, there would be no casinos at all if they weren't such profitable operations for their owners!

I was on the MSC seaside last week and the 2nd night in there was a 15,000 winner on a quick hit machine on there free spin bonus there were a total of 6 winners on the quick hits ranging from 15k-3k and other winners on other machines however a gentleman I met said he was on the same ship only a week prior and didn't see 1 person hit a jackpot all week

  2. I am back and can answer my own question in case anyone ever cares :) Yes, you can get bottled water (small or large bottles) in the casino. As a matter of fact, they are more than happy to serve you drinks at the casino bar. Once they see the VIP sticker, they can't do enough for you.

I just got back myself and was wondering the same, I don't drink alcohol but I was happy to receive the free sodas and water with the VIP sticker :) and when I returned home I received another email from my local casino for another free MSC cruise I think I'd like to try a different ship next time
