This is great information, but it makes me a little sad! When news of vaccines came out last December we booked a Danube Christmas market cruise through Tauck for December 2021. Now I’m not sure that cruise will happen and I would expect that by the time we know about December 2021, December 2022 will be sold out. We are all vaccinated and prepared to travel but Germany seems to be lagging a bit. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Thanks for the review. We are on the same itinerary leaving this Saturday. Would love to hear about your Grenada experience as our only plans there are a day passes at a resort.

Thanks for all the pictures and the dailies. We are on this same itinerary on the Summit on 4/13. Can’t wait!

Thanks for your comments, we are in 6116 in a couple weeks. I’ve been really disappointed about the balcony furniture after seeing pictures. I’ll be sure to follow your lead and request the more traditional chairs early and often! Wondering if I should also pack an air freshener just in case?

My husband and I did our first Celebrity cruise on the Summit last April and we are on the Summit again in a few weeks. We had cruised Royal Caribbean and Carnival in the past. While Celebrity doesn't have as many activities or entertainment options as some other cruise lines, we were never bored or looking for something to do. There were lots of trivia and game show activities and lots of live music. As someone mentioned already, the Silent Disco is a blast and they do that 2 times per week. I did find the main shows in the theater in the evening to be just okay. The comedians were good, the stage shows were just not my thing. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the review! We are on the Summit 4/13 in a Sky Suite. We loved our last Summit cruise (April 2018) and our only minor complaint was lack of service poolside. Really looking forward to taking advantage of the Retreat this year! Enjoy your last day!

Thanks Jim_Lain! The video of 6115 shows the same set-up as in the photos above on the right with the table and chairs but there are no loungers on the left. There is some kind of weird box on the deck of the veranda to the left and I'm wondering if that means there wasn't room for the loungers. If that's the case, I'm worried about having the same issue on the opposite side of the ship. If so, I guess we could always ask to replace the table & chairs with loungers.

Thanks for the tip! Lots of good info in the app for our 4/13 Summit sailing!

Following along! We are on the Summit on 4/13 in a Sky Suite. Can't wait! Glad you had a good trip through the CLT airport, that's our hometown. Lots of renovation going on in some of the concourses these days.

Yikes! We are on this sailing. Makes me nervous! I received a "move up" email recently and when I went to check suite availability, I couldn't find the cruise on the website. At the time I just assumed it was fully booked. Hopefully this is just a glitch and not a bad omen 🙂

We were invited to a sail away on our cruise on the Summit last April. We were in a suite and it was our first Celebrity cruise. Our butler implied that he had secured the invitation for us. We did meet another couple who were also in a suite and who had not received an invitation.
I recall being a little rushed as we had a late excursion on the day of the sail away. However, we enjoyed a couple glasses of champagne and had the opportunity to chat with several Celebrity officers. It was a nice event, but I don't think I'd be terribly disappointed if we weren't invited on our next cruise.

Following along! We are on the Summit in April and I'm thinking of booking the Edge for my 50th (December 2020) while on board. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

I'm excited to see the photos! And I'm sure more will be coming in the next few days. We were on Summit last year and will be again this April (post refurbishment). IMHO, the biggest changes appear to be in the staterooms and Retreat Lounge (Michael's Club). I really like the lighter colors in those spaces. Looking forward to pictures of the new Retreat SunDeck!

First impressions are great. Lots of nicely done areas. I love the dining room and Ocean View. But first cabins. I think they wasted their money on Kelly Hoppen. The cabins look very clean but bland. Nice new beds and bedding. Plenty of drawer space but the wardrobe isn’t tall enough to hang a long dress without it touching the shelf below. The curtains let the light in and there are no voile privacy curtains so if you are in a lower deck and facing the quayside you need to keep them closed. There are USB ports by the dressing table and one side of the bed. There are a couple of glass fronted cupboards (why?) and the safe is in one. The safe isn’t big enough for an I pad. The bathrooms look lovely but space is limited. Instead of tissues tucked away they are in a box on top. The foot rest in the shower is at the wrong end. Your hair gets wet whether you want it or not. Form over function comes to mind.
We are on the summit post-renovation in April. Thanks for the heads up on the foot rest in the shower. I'll be sure to pack a shower cap! Looking forward to hearing lots more about the renovation.

We used something very similar on Celebrity Summit last April with no issue. Planning on packing it again on our next trip. Need all 6 ports for phone X 2, ipads X 2 and watches X 2!

Thanks for your review! Great pictures of the trip and your gorgeous dogs! We are on a similar itinerary on the Summit departing this Saturday. Hope you get some warmer weather soon. It’s even chilly here in NC!

Your comments about the airport during Spring Break made me chuckle. We live in CLT and have experienced the same. Hope you have a great trip and can’t wait to follow along. We leave 4/13 for our first Celebrity Cruise on the Summit.

Not much advice to offer, but we are on this cruise as well in a Sky Suite. Our first time cruising with Celebrity. We have booked 3 excursions with Celebrity and I’m leaving 2 days (Antigua and St. Thomas) flexible. Although We are considering spending the day at Beachlimerz in Antigua. Hope to meet you in Luminae or Michael’s!

The Cruise I Never Thought I Would Take! Scarlet Lady Feb 27-Mar 4 Review
in Virgin Voyages

Thanks for this comprehensive review. My son is on the Scarlet Lady now. My husband and I (early 50’s) have been cruising Celebrity in recent years but considering a Virgin cruise for next year if we can convince my son and his GF to join us.
