  1. We had 1600 on the Radiance through the Panama Canal and on the Serenade for Alaska this past May.

If you are up against the railing of your balcony, then yes, people in the WJ can look down and see you standing there. Otherwise, the only way people can see onto you balcony is by peeking around the dividers between the cabins.

NEVER experienced any noise from the WJ, and the views are incredible.

Just click on the pics link below to get a feel for the views.

  2. Larger balcony, incredible panoramic view. I guess if you are reallllly sensitive, you might feel more motion, but I never have - and yes, we have been through some rough seas during storms while in an aft cabin.

For a little better idea, check out our pics at the link in our signature, then go to the Panama Canal cruise. This was Suite 1600 on the Radiance of the Seas.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I too am saddened to hear of the demise of the Dawn Princess. :( She was the first ship that my family sailed on. My wife and I took our 3 kids (then 11, 10 and 7) on the Mexican Riviera out of Los Angeles in December of 1992. Definitely one of the greatest times for our family while the kids were growing up.

Admittedly, she wasn't the size of todays ships, and certainly wasn't as "pretty", but she did have her own touch of elegance.

For those of you who may not have a picture of her, or just want to see her one more time, I can provide the following from a postcard.
