Passengers have never been able to upgrade the O Life House Beverage package prior to boarding.  The cost to upgrade the O Life House Beverage package once you board is $30.00 per person, per day.

Clarification...you can move the onboard savings and deposit once but if you are canceling the sailing you are moving it from and are in penalty, those penalties will be assessed.

Looks like when cancelling before the penalty period, there is still zero penalty, but when cancelling within the penalty period (120-90 or 180-90 days or whatever it is), there is $250 USD ($350 CAD) "admin fee" that previously could be used for future cruise credit, but now is non refundable.

 

If this is the case, this is still reasonable to me - it means we still can book 2 years in advance with no risk.

You can move the deposit and onboard booking savings once, however, you cannot be in penalty.  This has not changed.

This policy changed on July 1st, 2022 for sailings booked from this date on.  The $250.00 administrative fee can no longer be used as a future cruise credit toward another sailing.

If so, the lesson is don't be too quick to book a cruise.

 

 

 

For sailings booked July 1st, 2022 or after, the $250.00 per person penalty can no longer be converted into future cruise credits.

The amount is not dependent on the length of the sailing. $250.00 is the in lieu of amount. It has been this way for a very long time.

The shipboard credit in lieu of the gratuities is $250.00 per stateroom unless you turned Silver by 12/31/12. If you did turn Silver by this date, you would receive shipboard credit in the amount of the gratuities.

Final payments are due 150 days prior to sailing for cruises of this length.

How interesting! I actually read about this very cabin on a review on cruisecritic and bookmarked it a few days ago. I just checked it and realized that was you! lol...

 

Your cabin sounds fantastic but I thought you weren't allowed to book cabins? All it offers you is a guarantee, so you don't know where you will be located? I'll have to ask my travel agent. She has an E cabin on hold for me, but she didn't know the room. Not sure how to specifically request rooms? I will ask! :cool:

You can book staterooms with assignments. If there were only guarantees, that means that at this time there is not a stateroom assignment available in that category.

If you book a category E, you can absolutely wait list another category or categories that you are interested in. You can also just wait list the category you would like without being booked in a different category. If the wait list does clear, the pricing will be based on the fares offered at that time.

If you book a tour with a private tour company, they can pick you up at the port, and take care of your luggage. Oceania will not take care of your luggage after disembarkation unless they happen to offer a tour that day, and you book it through them.
