Just returned Sunday from the Harmony and RC returned all my OBC to my card on file yesterday. Not bad, 2 days

Did they do that automatically, or did you ask someone to refund the unused credit?

  2. Another ship (Serenade?) will do cruises from Copenhagen with more focus on Norwegian Fjords.

Not to throw a wrench into the discussion, but I just came across a notation in the Monterey (California) Cruise Ship Calls regarding 'Celebrity Serenade' stopping in Monterey in May and October of 2020. I see it is currently scheduled out of FLL until the end of May.....so we'll just have to wait and see. I have (tried to) check the other west coast ports, but nothing else is updated beyond 2019.

  3. Looking at booking Jewel GS 1552 for b2b's. It's the only GS left...is there something wrong with this cabin? I noticed the balcony on 1552 is the last one before the hump, the first hump cabin is 1554. Can people on 1554 balcony see into 1552 balcony? Is that lack of privacy why 1552 is the only GS left?

Yes they can - and vice versa. I will say that I did not intentionally go looking into their balcony. My DW was actually more concerned about the bridge crew looking back into our balcony.

With that said, I would have no issue with 1552. We booked 1554 again for January 2018.

  4. Royal's "partners" go thru the Panama Canal. Azamara and Celebrity. Nothing on future schedules for Royal - I have been waiting and hoping.

We have basically given up on the line now, with no ships on the west coast. Only hope left is Legend in late 2017, but I suspect Legend is being sold, or going to be a 2nd ship to Cuba.

  5. Is it possible Empress sold out? I did read Fathom cancelled their first cruise because the ship didn't pass coast guard inspections. Maybe Carnival people rebooking on Empress.

I've seen this happen before. RCCL has this bad habit of pulling remaining inventory of short, slow selling cruises from Miami, and giving these cabins away to a casino. None of those people show up, thus stiffing the crew in tips, but making it much less crowded for the people that actually paid.

  6. Enough is enough ! Rccl has once again stomped on the hearts of thousands of its customers. Special occasions, once in a lifetime events,graduations,anniv.,weddings,---all of these ruined by rccl due to their money first da_n the customers mentality. Any and everyone should cancel future cruises, those thousands just cancelled re book elsewhere. A major downturn in their business will open thier eyes. This is the worst behavior ever demonstrated by a cruise company. Remember the aos sailing into the storm recently? Show rccl who is really in control. Just really lousy of them to do this to people !! Sadly many will still show up at the port thinking all is well. Enough is enough !!

I agree with you - but it's obvious they don't really care. If you boycott them and revenue drops, they will just move the ships somewhere else.

Just ask us about that in California.

  7. Yes, she's underway!

Marine Traffic still shows sailing at 0135 today & arriving in SB so it hasn't been updated yet...I wonder how the delay has affected their itinerary?

According to someone on their rollcall, they are going to SB tomorrow.
