You can also put in your record dietary needs, but I’m not sure what they do with that as anyone could ask for soy milk at anytime.

Never done the LA marathon but an avid marathoner here and would tell you it will disrupt your plans and ability to navigate around the city.

Used uber and lyft from airport to hotel. Walked from hotel to cruise terminal (it was a looong walk, but my husband and I are huge walkers).

It will be interesting to get your feedback on the "changes" since the 80's. Don't wait up for the midnight buffet or wait to start your happy hour when the live band and free sushi appear. You will be very disappointed.
I find this thread so timely as my parents are about to go on their first cruise since the 80s! [emoji119]

While I don’t have kids, I think it is perfectly acceptable. Family vacations are an important memory and sometimes it can’t be avoided.

Honeymoon and wedding board has lots of suggestions. Look for out of towner or OOT bags.

I have been on a few cruises, but am going on a cruise with a few newbies in 2 months and am planning "goodie" bags. This is a family vacation (adults), and I just want to make something fun for everyone to have. Anything anyone recommends for my goodie bags? I am thinking of mints, gum, cruise ID holder. Any other thoughts or suggestions? I am not normally the type to do this but have recently got the creativity bug!

Looking at purchasing the cruise decorations for my 30th just for fun. I don't expect it to be much, but want that extra touch.
