Have sailed with our boys for years (now 20 and 22). The older they got they seemed to prefer the Oasis/Freedom class for the flow-rider and full-court basketball. It is a hard age to be stuck between teen club and "adult". Upcoming cruise on the Anthem I have one that can now be in the casino and drink while one is a few months away from the "magic age". Somehow they manage to find something to get into :)

I saw someone post that American Icon was for pre-reserved times and Silk for walk-up. Do you know if that is the case?

I was on the Anthem in February 2016 (the infamous "that-was-not-a-hurricane" cruise that got turned around) and they still were cycling passengers with set dining through the four dining rooms. We are cruising for Thanksgiving and have My-Time dining and would like to know which of the four restaurants is assigned for that service. Definitely looking forward to going back on the ship and trying out all of the activities we missed out on the first time around.

What happened to the Pride sailings out of Baltimore? I have a group booked for October 09 and haven't yet heard that the ship is being switched out.

I carried insurance for the last cruise I took. Not so much for the cancellation part, which I would appreciate if I really did have to cancel at the last minute, but primarly for the medical. You just never know what may happen and for my family of five we were covered for $120. Well worth it IMHO.
My parents (who are new to cruising) have begun asking their doctor for an Rx prior to leaving and they take it with them- just in case. For the most part a person that gets frequent illness that require medicines knows when they will need it or not. If you have it on hand it can prevent an unnecessary expense.
The "Ultimate Dining Package" is new to us!

My next cruise with just husband I am definitely going to book this package. I like the MDR service and food, but it is nice to have a price break if you know you'll be going to the specialty dining for at least a few meals.
