Princess actually has one of the best kids clubs.  We will be going with to Alaska on Princess with our (then) 9 and 7 year old and I think it will be fine.  They are with you for shore excursions anyway right?

We’ve decided to go to Alaska on Princess in 2021. We’ll have at least 2 adults and 2 kids and perhaps 2 more adults. I looked at the deck plans for the ships that sail to Alaska and assume we have to book fast when it opens up. Does anyone have any recommendations for a 3 bed/4 person stateroom on the Golden or Island Princess?  We definitely want a balcony and are open to a mini-suite (depending on cost of course).

I've been combing through the threads and see bits and pieces of people's opinions but would love to hear from families in our similar situation. We have kids who will be ages 5 and 7 at time of sailing (thinking June and Alaska sailing). Can anyone advise of:

1) how the room/beds worked; what is the best room type (we have a girl and a boy so no sharing beds)

2) are there excursions that they would be good to go on?

3) on Carnival, the kids club had a dinner portion so that they wouldn't always have to eat with us, do they have that on Holland? It wasn't at the kids club but in the buffet/grill.

4) does the kids club take the kids to the pool area?

We're going on the Breeze in December and returning to Port Canaveral. Unfortunately our flight is the following day at 7 AM so we're overnighting in Orlando near MCO. We're looking for a fun day in Port Canaveral/Orlando (NOT DISNEY) with then dropping us off at our hotel in Orlando. I know there are a lot of fun things to do, but we're really looking for the added touch of dropping us at our hotel as well.
