You mean the DSC? Europeans usually not need to pay taxes on MSC cruises when they book via their local MSC websites.
Ehm... I don't know what DSC is, but the kids only have to pay port taxes so on this 21 night cruise I only had to pay 162 euro's for them, which is a pretty good deal :-)

We are going on this cruise and yes, we will bring kids (13 and 10 by that time) but they are quite well behaved in comparison to some adults ;-).
Princess and HAL are indeed both doing Greenland and Iceland, but HAL does not make a roundtrip and Princess is way more expensive for us, since at MSC the children only have to pay taxes.

Does anyone have an update on this "drinkvouchers" topic? I just completed our web check in for our cruise april 27th and the drink vouchers are still mentioned as "included" on the travel document MSC sent me yesterday. No expiration date or whatever is mentioned...

We were on the Coral in August with our 2 kids. It's mainly kids swimming in the pools... the hottubs however were mainly used by (older) adults. It was never crowded. We actually used the outdoor pool because we had great weather :-). Do know that you can miss a whale or two when swimming 😉

The cheapest way is the public bus. We rented a car and had a wonderfull day driving to eagle beach (saw lots of bald eagles) after that we drove to mendenhall. Was also an economic option since we are a family of four and I believe the rental was about 100 dollars).

hay Meahara,
I was wondering the same thing. On the Dutch version of the MSC website there is an extra line written under the legenda, which says all 4-person cabins have a sofa that convent into bunks, except for suites, duplex suites & Yacht club suites. We certainly hope so, because bunks are better for our boys aswell ;-)
**Houd er rekening mee dat alle vierpersoonshutten voorzien zijn van slaapbanken welke omgezet kunnen worden naar stapelbedden (behalve in de Suite, Duplex Suite en Yacht Club Suites)

I don't remember the dinning times on our Alaskan cruise. But I can tell you what has happened on our Caribbean on Regal cruises the past year. We had fixed early seating , like you have. We had one port o call that we left (I believe ) at 10PM. That night the dinning room was open seating. Maybe the same may happen on your cruise too.
We were in port in Juneau last week (Coral Princess) till 9PM and the dining room had indeed open seating that day.

You can rent a car in Whittier with Avis. The only downside is the fee for the one way rental. We are renting a car however in August, because with the four of us that's the most convenient option.

Hello you all,
We will be in Ketchikan on august 17 from 6 am to 2 pm. The excursion we have planned is scheduled for 7:45 am till 11:15 (wildlife cruise and beach bonfire :-)). Will this leave us enough time to explore Ketchikan (creek street) on our own?
Thanks in advance :D

Hello everyone,
We will be cruising Alaska this summer on the Coral Princes (Princess for the first time) and I was wondering if we can have the free tea and iced tea all day or just during breakfast, lunch and dinnertimes. We've only cruised DCL before where you can have soda's all day for "free";). I know we can have the soda package, but I'm not a real soda drinker, so I was wondering whether i should just drink tea between meals (i wouldn't mind that) or take a coffee card or a soda package.
Thanks in advance!
