  1. Hello! DO NOT pack towels - getting towels is so easy and convenient.

I didn't really notice any themed nights.

Packing musts - invest in the packing cubes. I bought two packs - so I had four large, four medium, and four small. It SAVED MY LIFE! It made organization in the room so simple and packing a breeze.

Hi, we are scheduled for it next week with kids ages 8 & 10. Packing questions, should we pack towels for kids? (You know the hoodie types?).

    Any theme nights?

    Any specific packing must?

    Thanks! ;)

  2. I did A LOT of research before my cruise.....it was the first time on an Oasis class ship and the first cruise for my 6 and 9 year old. I'm not going to lie, after reading the reviews on here, I was a bit nervous - about MDR, about Windjammer, the shows, about the deck chairs at the pool, the wear of the ship and the room quality conditions.

It was a great ship, a wonderful itinerary, and we had a fabulous time. Not much, if anything, to complain about at all. We even had an inside cabin with four people and were perfectly comfortable all week long. Wait....I have one complaint.....I hate sharing a bathroom. Oh well.

If any practical mom out there has any questions about the Oasis and I can help - let me know. I can't answer much about the late night events as we were in the room by 10:00 p.m. every night.

We can't wait to book our next cruise!

  3. Thank you so much! I didn't know this!!

Just FYI. Any bar or food location will provide iced water at no charge. Iced tea, lemonade/punch, flavored water, white/chocolate milk, breakfast juice, hot tea, coffee, hot chocolate are all included at no extra charge.

You can fill your mug or sports bottle. Just be sure to use a glass to fill and not put the bottle up to the sprocket.

The included drinks are available in the Windjammer, cafe promenade, and other food locations.

  4. Thanks everyone for the replies! I am about the most honest person out there, so if I implied I wanted to steal anything from anyone, including Royal Caribbean, I apologize. Paying upwards of $800 for drink packags and my conscience is very clear! I didn't realize that the juice and water were free in the WJ and that I could take a to go cup. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I would just say this: as someone who has an incredibly stressful job, I come on this site to read, research and, quite honestly, get EXCITED about my upcoming vacation. I bet others do too. Be nice to each other. Life is too short and vacations are too few and far between!

  5. Good morning,

I never thought I'd debate in my head so much the pros and cons of purchasing a drink package.

Anyway....I am going to call RC for the Delux and Refreshment for me and the hubs, as suggested on here. However, I have a 6 and 9 year old who will drink water, juice and (9 year old) occassional soda. Do you suggest packages for them or can I get away with just the two packages for us? When ordering, will they allow me to purchase drinks for our kids with my husband and my cards or will they charge for the kids as well? We can give them our soda cups when we get them as neither my husband nor I really drink soda.

    Thanks!

  6. Good afternoon,

Sailing in July/early August with a 6-year-old and a 9-year-old. I'm trying to decide what to do in my shore excursions....do I rent the larger beach chairs or a beach bed? Are they close to the water park and kid areas? Any other considerations with kids?

    Thanks!
