Hi all- we have booked a cruise which leaves on November 1st. Can anyone advise when excursions go on sale please?
Thanks Eve

28 days on a cruise would be my idea of hell! We recently returned from a 7 night cruise to the Fjords which we really enjoyed but have no great desire to go on another cruise.
Everyone said we would get the cruise bug but despite having a lovely time, we would not rush to do another one!
I hope you have a lovely time but for lots of people- me included- 28 days is too long!

Ditto Major Tom- and to quote Dragon’s Den ‘I’m out!’

FangedRose-I actually take offence at you criticising people’s ‘questionable practices’! Mine included!
I use drawers to put things away in and to keep my cabin tidy!
That’s what drawers are for!
No disrespect- you need to live and let live and stop being so paranoid!

You can never escape the fact that your hands are going to come into contact with germs and bacteria. Surely simple steps like washing your hands after going to the loo and using the hand sanitisers in the restaurants on board ship should be enough.
When I go on holiday I want to enjoy myself and not obsess about germs lurking in drawers or elsewhere in my cabin/hotel room.
I just find all this talk about brands of anti- bacterial gel etc etc bit OTT

FangedRose- I've just had a terrible thought! What if you put some 'once worn' clothes on your cabin chair that a previous occupant had placed 'dirty' clothes on?
OMG-doesn't bear thinking about! All those germs.....

Well my old Gran who would have been 107 now used to tell me off for washing my children’s clothes too often!
She also said a bit of dirt would do no harm! She lived to a ripe old age too!!

I think wearing PJs or even a onesie throughout a cruise is a really good idea - no more threads here on what to pack etc. Simples!!
-
Tom Baker- your comment made me laugh so much!
Fangedrose- life is too short to obsess about germs and worry about where people place their nightwear in cabins!
The stewards must dread you coming on board!( only joking!)

I don’t mean to sound rude but I think that’s a bit OTT!
If people want to put their nightwear away in a drawer, that’s totally up to them.
To each his own!!
Eve
PS sometimes I put my nightwear under my pillow, sometimes I stick it in a drawer! Can’t say I have ever caught any virus whilst on holiday either!!

I can’t believe anyone could even be bothered to ask such a question! What does it matter to you what people do?
I’m lost for words quite frankly!!

Great pic- I love it!!🐴🏇

ONT-CA- you little Tinker!!
On a serious note, this was our first cruise but we were really impressed with Azura and enjoyed all she had to offer. I have nothing to compare it with, but did a double take as we pulled up to park and caught our first glimpse of her!! She was indeed a big lass!!

Thanks so much for the photo link! At least I know I didn’t imagine it!
I liked the Azura too- but not enough to want to live on it!
Thanks for all replied

That’s what I thought too!

I’m still none the wiser though folks! Actually have a pic somewhere of the starboard side of the ship, will see if I can zoom in to prove to you all that I’m perfectly sane! Just have very sharp powers of observation!!

I don’t know about that- doubt the Norwegian weather would make them grow fast!!
-
Haha! Once upon a time maybe...
No, spotted it when we were docked in Stavanger and trying to work out which was our cabin!

I'm pretty sure I didn't imagine spotting the above on a recent cruise to Norway! There appeared to be a balcony full of plants on the starboard side, midship,Deck B or C at a guess! Has anyone else noticed it? I wondered if it was a honeymoon cabin maybe?Eve 🌺🌻🌼🌷

We used to get Travel insurance as part of our Home insurance. Good job I read the small print one day as it turned out it no longer covered my husband once he hit 65. We had in fact been on holiday without him being insured!

We just use the plastic bag method! Just pack undies, swimwear,T shirts etc in clean bags for life, then carry straight from case to drawer! Also handy when on road trips as easier to find things!

We were happy with C615 - pretty central yet quiet

We took on a bottle of wine and a bottle of bubbly for our one week cruise. It was just right- enough for a glass each on the balcony before dinner. We then bought drinks on board which were very reasonable.
I have been on AI holidays before and can honestly say I preferred the drinks on the cruise.Proper spirits, well served- just the job.

We've just returned from the fjords on Azura- had a lovely time and the weather was wonderful. We originally booked C701 but got upgraded to C615. We were really pleased with the upgrade but the original would have been fine.We enjoyed the balcony too!
When do excursions go on sale?
in P&O Cruises ( UK )

Thanks for your replies. Yes- we are cruising from Dubai so that may account for no info on CP.
We talked to our TA who was pretty certain the cruise would go ahead but I must admit to having my doubts!
