Hi, for our sailing tomorrow, both my mom and my cabin just won the upgrade bid. I was wondering, this is first time I did this process. If there are a lot of cabins still available in the category we are now upgraded to, are we allowed to request to move to same floor? Or is this more of you get what you get. We're ok with what we have. Just thought it would be easier to coordinate plans if we were lol not 2 floors apart now.
BTW, our sailing is not full, so I went from Inside IF to Balcony BA for the lowest $100 pp bid. Prices of balcony had come down already last week, but when I had called my TA, he said for us to upgrade it would be $321 total and we would lose our $100 obc per room to go to Balcony BF. So we decided to chance it at the poorest.
You might be able to move cabins, I would suggest calling NCL directly. But in saying that when you win an upgrade, you gets what you gets!!😁

Why not just make it a flat fee restaurant. Order what you want and still even charge for milkshakes if they want to!

Can I just ask, I bid for my upgrades. And not for lack of trying, I have not seen anywhere I can see the circle that shows where my bid is in what range.
I can see my bids but there is no circle thing like in the past.
its been a while so it’s not wait till it shows up on my booking. It brings me to a page where I see my bids but still no circle indicating fair, good, whatever.
Any ideas? I realize it is what it is and I’m not really expecting to be upgraded but id still like to know where I rank, sort of.
Are you looking on your phone or a computer. The wheel does not show upon the phone (android) only the bids.

Anyone get upgrade notice for This Saturday. My bids both still show pending. I will be on Pride of America. Only bid min. So prob. Won’t get, but we leave on Wednesday for Hawaii and hope to know then for luggage tags.
Also, I have a handicapped cabin, will they only consider handicapped for upgrades since I need one?
Will not look for handicapped cabin. Could assign ANY cabin in the category you are bidding on. If you need handicapped cabin might not be worth bidding.

If there is no inventory no matter what you bid will not be accepted
I know the inventory has to exist, just wondering if anyone has bid max and not been accepted on an available cabin.

Has anyone known of a maximum bid for an upgrade NOT being accepted? On our upcoming cruise max upgrade bid is still much less than going rate.

Does everyone need to use this ArriveCAN app? It is the first I am hearing about it. Thanks.

It was great sailing with you and Patti again. Look forward to following the review. It will be great to relive the 2 weeks we got to spend on the Mardi Gras. Hope to do it again!

Great review! You and Patti spend a great deal of time putting this together and it is much appreciated. It was great to meet you both and look forward to seeing you again on the Mardi Gras in April!

Don't know how I missed the beginning of the review, but I did. Will be following along and you and Patti found some places on the ship that I never made it to! IMHO, I think Patti did a wonderful job showing off the Horizon.

Nothing being equal these days, you might also be given the opportunity to move to that new cruise if similar to the one cancelled/changed.

Or it could be a sign they are going to be using Bermuda as a homeport!

Nothing official yet but that might change when they announce a return to sailing.
Almost afraid to say this but I hope they do require the vaccine. (Flames coming I am sure!)

If they were there, I missed them as well!
Definitely a few things that I have not seen before.

Received second shot yesterday. Just waiting for the numbers to go down so we can cruise once again!

And don't forget, we will have a new CDC director in just a few more days!

If a chair is required and not in the cabin , I am certain that a request to your cabin steward or Guest Services will take care of things.

Has anyone heard if the Star has had or has a date to dry dock for its azipod work? Or, is it delayed?
Thanks!
Nothing confirmed but I do see that the Star is heading to Europe at this time hopefully to complete the repairs that were scheduled before all the cancellations.

Another question (I've cruised NCL a few times, but always did the Sailaway rates so didn't pay for extras). If you get the "free" specialty restaurants, why are there prices on the menu?
Most of the restaurants are a la carte if you do not have the dining package. Also if you choose to order extra items they will have an additional charge.

Category IX is a guarantee and says my stateroom will be assigned. But if it lets me pick a specific cabin, will I get to keep that cabin or could it change?
I have not seen an IX cabin offer a choice. What cruise are you looking at?

Current promotion does end on April 14th, but so far unable to find this posted anywhere.

Panama Canal booked for October 9, 2020. If going, I will be there.

The State Department has issued a warning to all Americans, and not just people that are sick, to avoid getting on cruise ships due to coronavirus risk. What will you do? Are you going to cruise or cancel? This is horrible.
Booked on the Grand Princess in 4 weeks. If she sails, we will be on her!
