  1. We are trying to decide on an AI in Montego Bay. When we get off the ship, I know there will be people there selling tours. Will anyone be selling AI spots for that day from the port. Do you know if they are less expensive than booking through the ship or resortforaday.com? Thanks in advance!

  2. We did the horseback riding where you end up down at the beach and the horses swim. It was really nice. We are going back in May and I think we will either do an all inclusive or go to Doctor's Beach.

  3. 2 weeks ago, I bought one $500 from AARP and one $500 from Verizon Wireless. Bought them same time, same day. I received the AARP one yesterday and the Verizon one didn't ship out until yesterday. Not sure why. I did call and verify the address for both of them on the same day. Perhaps it was just a one-time glitch with Verizon?

  4. Our first two cruises were to Alaska and we had balcony cabins. Then when we started going to the Caribbean, we realized that we never spent any time in the room except to sleep and shower, so we went for the inside cabins. I really like inside cabins for the same reasons that people posted above. I really think the only time we will ever want a balcony again would be for Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal or my dream cruise, South America. Oh, and I have never felt claustrophobic on one. Like someone else said, enjoy the $$$ you are saving by booking an inside.

  5. I had to dig to find my review but Captain Max is wonderful. We just booked another cruise that will stop in St. Thomas and I hop to sail with Captain Max again. Here is an excerpt from my review re. Captain Max

    Tuesday – St. Thomas

We had booked an all-day sailing/snorkeling trip with Captain Max from Red Hook Harbor. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up right at the ship to take us to the harbor. This was probably the best day of our cruise. I would recommend this excursion to everyone. There’s a maximum of 6 guests on her sailboat. She took us over to St. John to snorkel. Before lunch, we snorkeled near shore and saw some beautiful fish and coral. We went back to the boat for a wonderful lunch. Food and drinks were great, the rum punch was amazing. After lunch, Capt. Max pointed us to a grassy area just offshore of a gorgeous beach where she said there should be sea turtles. Sure enough, we saw quite a few sea turtles feeding down in the sea grass. I had the neatest experience. I was snorkeling at the surface above a sea turtle, when all of a sudden he came up for air. He was probably 2 feet away from me on the surface. Of course I did not have my camera, but it was amazing to be so close to a sea turtle. After the second snorkel, we took a leisurely sail back to St. Thomas where our taxi was waiting for us to take us back to the ship. Captain Max is the BEST!
