Call me one of those "overly optimistic people". I believe cruises will start June 1 or around there. When this thing peaks in a few weeks [which is going to be painful and horrible] then the numbers will start to fall. 4 weeks of falling numbers will help calm nerves. Its all sad no matter how we look at all this.

I sincerely hope so.  We were set to sail 4/5/20.  Canceled and rebooked for 6/20/20.  Hubby and I are healthy and in our 40's.  Daughter is almost 12.  Hubby is a grocery manager(essential)  the odds of him not catching this, are already slim to none.  Maybe by then we have more of a heard immunity.

  2. We leave on April 5th out of Tampa and still plan to go.  DH and I are in our 40's, daughter is 11.  No health issues. Quarantine at the end of the cruise is the only thing that concerns us.  I think everyone needs to take a deep breath.  Just like avoiding any other illness, wash, wash, wash.  If I were in a high risk category I would not travel right now, but as far as controlling this virus, that "train" has left the station.  I would LOVE to know the math on this though.  How many cruises have already successfully sailed in 2020 and how many actually had an issue?  That number is fairy low for sure.

  3. I will be sailing on the Carnival Magic this Saturday, June 16th. It is my first cruise. I am gluten free. I have already contacted guest services and researched all the options and processes on the boat. I am filled in on that and I am excited. There is one eatery that I can not get any info on though. Pig and Anchor. I obviously know items like Mac and Cheese or Cornbread are not gluten free, but dry rubs, BBQ sauces, cole slaw and/or potato salads all depend on the specific ingredients. Does anyone have any information or gluten free experience with eating at Pig and Anchor?

    Thank you1

  4. I have Celiac disease and I am a first time cruiser. I understand the gluten free process in the MDR. I have read about gluten free buns, breads, pizza crust and pasta. That all sounds wonderful. I would love to know if there are any options at Tandori, or Pig and Anchor though. I have heard that Pig and Anchor is a great place to eat on embarkation day. Not all BBQ sauces are gluten free though. Any other tips are welcome too!!!
