  1. I like Ensenada for a few reasons:

    1. small town --- quiet for the most part.

    2. Great place to get a new pair of glasses or contact lenses if its time for your eye exam and you need a new Rx.

    3. Great prices on fabric --- great fabric shop just off the main drag near Rositas Cantina

    4. Great little places to eat, get Mexican coffee (yum!) and pastries ---these are everywhere

    5. The cops don't hassle me when I set up my easel to paint in whatever area I want --- cops in Ensenada are very cool and nice to me. Always. A couple have even bought paintings from me. (and like a good neighbor, I give them a great discount.)

La Bufadora is no big deal in my opinion...when you get there, you will say to yourself, "I came xyz hundred miles to look at a hole...."

The mercado near La Bufadora really doesn't offer much in the way of bargains if that's what you're looking for...most is overpriced junk. But, that's just me...

Winery tours are nice also. Ensenada is what YOU make of it...nice, quiet little town with time for shopping, and then back to the ship for lunch and pool time.

Do you have more information on the fabric stores???

  2. Congratulations on your marriage. Just beautiful!

We are planning our vow renewal in December, but I'm not sure what to expect what I can and can't do for the ceremony. Your review has helped and put a new light into things. A few questions for you...

We are expecting 10 guest small I know, should we just book the basic ceremony or the one with the reception ? Since it will be on a sea day.

Photos do they offer smaller packages? $300-$500 range?

FSF, was there a fee for him?

Are you allowed to bring real flowers for the ceremony ? Or do you think it is better to use fake flowers since time and date is not known?

Also could you email me the Power point to me. Dignaic@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for all the details of such a special day. May your new life with your wife be filled with love and happiness for the years to come.

  3. Karmen, this is not Mike. Just thought you might appreciate some opinions/suggestions from others too. It never hurts to hear about different options.

SAS will pick up from FLL or your hotel. SAS is a shared ride unless your party is large enough to take up all the seats. However, from the info you provided, it sounds like you are coming in a day or more early. If that is the case, may I suggest renting a car. That way you will have transportation until the day of your cruise.

You can rent a car at FLL and return the car to a location either at MIA or a location near the port. Some car rentals have complimentary shuttles to the port.

MISS-all information would be great. we are planning to 1 day ahead, and maybe 2 days after. wasn't sure if we could drop the car off at the port... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!:D

  4. Mikey,

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I love your review, love the pictures.. Just a wonderful time you and your family had. I can't wait for our cruise in april.

    I do have a few questiona for you;

We are flying from California, not sure if we should fly to Miami or FLL? We cruise out of Miami, however airfare is cheaper to FLL. My question is did SAS pick u up from FLL airport or from the hotel and then take you to the port of MIA? Does SAS book others on the shuttle or just your group? Also which city would be better to stay at FLL or MIA?

    Thanks for any information...

    Karmen
