I've just checked my Christmas cruise. The price for my select cabin has dropped  £400 (£200pp), however my OBC of £600 has dropped to £180 so I won't be much better off at this stage. I will keep watching it until my balance is due in September.  As there are 2 flights one on 16th and one on 17th I'd hope I could legitimately change by saying something urgent has cropped up meaning I need to go a day later!

My brother in law had already paid his balance when he saw his cruise on Azura at the start of May had come down considerably. He called his TA who cancelled his select price and rebooked him a saver fare and he got a refund of £540!

    Hi all,

I am new to cruising, and have just paid for a Baltic cruise in August with P&O for me and my partner (for their 30th birthday present).

I am a little confused by P&O's travel insurance requirements - maybe because I'm new to cruising, but there's lots of specific terminology and it just seems to confuse me and I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

I have done some research on insurance comparison sites and found a policy by coverforyou.com. I've attached the policy documents that came with the quote. Does anyone know if this meets all of P&O's specific requirements? Namely:

    • cover for emergency evacuations and medical expenses related to COVID-19
    • cover for repatriation, cancellation and curtailment including in the event of you contracting COVID-19 as certified by a Medical Practitioner and possibly, if deemed medically necessary, have to leave the ship due to a medical emergency

    Thank you!

My in laws are just back off Iona. I helped them arrange a new annual policy before they left and it’s with cover for you. Was absolutely fine they seemed to make it there with no issues! It’s underwritten by Axa, so big insurance firm, which made me feel confident using it. So I reckon you should be fine

We can do this in England too however when ours arrived showing all 3 of our vaccines in big bold type across the lead page it says NOT TO BE USED FOR TRAVEL

    ??????? so whats the point!

Apparently theres two different ones so you need this link now https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/nhs-covid-pass/get-an-nhs-covid-pass/get-your-nhs-covid-pass-letter/

Make sure you get the right one, i originally googled NHS covid pass omitting the travel bit which now explains why i got the above so make sure you get the right one. HTH

Oh thank you for that. I don’t think that’s the same here, the one I have downloaded just has a 3 month expiry date on it but no part of it says not to be used for travel. I’ll have another look just to be on the safe side!

  4. In Scotland we are able to log on with the NHS details that you used to book vaccine appointments, and can have a certificate posted to your house or you can download a copy to your phone with the QR codes on it. Had to do it recently as my app stopped working and didn’t show I had had any vaccinations!

  5. I got married on P&O’s Azura in July 2015. It was honestly amazing and the best thing I ever did. P&O can only marry you on sea days so in a two week cruise there are about 4 or 5 sea days and I’m sure they can do 3 weddings each day. We were married by the captain who was fabulous and is in lots of our photos. You have a wedding planner onboard, ours was a German lady called Veronika and she was excellent, nothing was a problem, any questions you had she would go out her way to answer them. And with it being a sea wedding the photographs you get are just so gorgeous. We got married in the Med not the Caribbean which would also be beautiful. P&O can do weddings on all ships except the Britannia because she was registered to the UK so doesn’t have a licence. I would recommend it to anyone. Initially I tried to get information for weddings from Royal Caribbean but they are hopeless. They have no UK based wedding department they are in Miami and mostly correspond by email. They are not very quick at all in responding and when you do get a reply they don’t even answer the question you had asked in the first place. It just put me off as I thought, if this is how helpful you are before I’ve even booked it, I’d hate to see what you are like once you have my money!
