  1. Actually, it's not the only way. One can drink all the water and soft drinks they want in the dispensers in the buffet area(s). One can take a beverage package as one of their incentives.

OR one can not worry about it and realize that they are going to buy water and soda at home, and just enjoy themselves while on vacation. . .

If these alternatives don't suit, maybe it's time to switch to another cruise line where bringing cases of water and soda are very acceptable and common, right along with the rum runners.

Sorry if I sound snotty, but passengers complain bitterly about cruise lines that "nickle and dime". I don't get how doing stuff like this isn't nickle and diming, too. Do you bring your own soda, water, booze to a land based restaurant? It's a rhetorical question, because I know that y'all are gonna blast me.

As ONE who is new to Celebrity I just thought I'd ask a simple question. As ONE that says they may sound snotty. Let this ONE confirm.... you do!

  2. The web site is silent on bringing soda/water on board probably because they don't encourage it.

However it has been widely reported that you can bring on a reasonable amount at embarkation. Many have reported bringing a case of water or soda and placing a luggage tag on the case & it was delivered to the cabin along with the luggage.

    Thanks for the info

  3. Being a new cruiser to Celebrity I would just like to reconfirm the information previously mentioned in another thread. At Embarkation does Celebrity policy allow each guest to bring on board cans of soda AND/OR bottles of water. If so, in what amounts? I could not find this info on the Celebrity website. Thanks.

  4. :)

We haven’t been on the Summit so I can’t comment about the restaurants.

Yes you can bring bottled water and soda on board at embarkation.

Room service has a late night fee of $4.95 from 11pm - 6am other times no charge.

    Thanks so much

  5. Hi,

Can't find answers to my questions on Celebrity website & they have not returned my phone call.

Can we bring on canned soda & bottled water on board when we Embark?

Are there any extra charges or fees for room service?

Any special info that would be helpful to know before sailing on the Celebrity Summit?

How are the specialty restaurants on the Summit?

    Thanks

  6. Hello,

We are first time Celebrity cruisers. We have a few questions that we can't seem to find on the Celebrity website and haven't gotten a return phone call from them.

Can we bring canned soda and bottled water on board when we embark?

Is there a fee for room service?

We are traveling on the Celebrity Summit and would like to hear about any of the specialty dinning rooms aboard.

Finally, is there anything specific to the Summit that we would find helpful knowing about?

    Thanks to all.
