Keith1010 -- the cruise begins and ends in Seattle.
Sanger727--Both my wife and I used the patch on that Hawaiian cruise, but it wasn't totally effective. Now, some 20 years later, I can't take the patch or meclizine, so I would probably have to rely on sea bands. My wife should be able to use the patch.

Thank you, Langley. I appreciate your input.
Essiesmom -- We took the American Hawaii Cruise years ago. Before that, we took two cruises to the Caribbean, on Norwegian and Carnival. My wife was pretty seasick on that last one. Also, we were younger and hardier in those days.

Hi all. My wife and I are being "encouraged" to join friends who booked a 7-day Alaskan cruise on the Celebrity Solstice for the first week in September 2018. We haven't cruised in years, ever since we both became terribly seasick on a cruise in Hawaii. We would love to hear from folks who took this cruise around the same time of year, with particular emphasis on (1) whether--as some have told us--this is not the best time to travel to Alaska due to the likelihood of frequent rainy days, and (2) should people prone to motion sickness (and limited to the type of meds we can take) avoid this ship/location/time of year. The booking would be for Concierge Class C3 Cabin 9265
Many thanks for any info or advice you can offer!
