  1. Hello everyone,

We recently booked 2 connecting rooms on the bliss for our trip in October. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what exactly makes them connecting. I have heard contrasting stories if the balconies can be opened up to enjoy together or not, so is it just the door that is connecting the 2 rooms? Also is it just one door that opens either way? Any insite into these rooms would be greatly appreciated as I cant find much online of information pictures or videos!

  2. We got one our last test and it was great, very nice and relaxing you are not crowded around with everyone. That being said I think there was some good and bad things about them.

    GOOD:

they have a nice room, tv, mini fridge, furniture in and out, they will port you over from the boat, nice eating area, butlers to help you... and is VERY relaxing

    BAD:

it is far from the main beach so you miss out on all the events on the beach. Depending where your cabana is it is far from the food area and you dont see the butlers that often as they tend to all the cabanas. There was a bar area and dance area but NOTHING was going on there.

Overall if you want to have a relaxing day with little noise and luxury, pay the money and get one! If you want more of a lively time and ok with being around the crowds then save yourself the money and go to the main beach! BUT I would suggest looking into if any other boats will be there that day as that will probley make the main beach VERY busy

  3. Hello Everyone,

I have a a 21 day booked for October 2022. In my package I got 500 minutes of wifi but will probley be looking to upgrade that to unlimited. Does anyone have an idea of the rough price it will be to upgrade. I saw the full purchase price on my actual ncl cruise page but I seem to remember once on board you could upgrade your 500 mins into an unlimited.

  4. I really enjoyed los lobos when we went on the bliss in February! And Cagney's was delicious and worth using the dinner package as it is one of the pricier restaurants. Q's was good not outstanding but I would defiantly ordered the hot brownie and ice-cream again if I had tried it before the last evening I probley would have went there at least a night or 2 to have just that brownie lol. Sadly I am not a big fan of the MDR free style of coming when you like, we didn't wait to long to get in 15-20mins maybe BUT the time it took to get our food was just outrageous over an hour. We ended up only eating in the main dinning room once in the 2 weeks

  5. Hello Fellow cruisers!

I have a friend who has decided to join our cruise putting us at 4 adults in a room 😬 . I decided to upgrade to a club suite as the bigger bathroom will be a Major bonus for the 4 of us. Once I started looking into it further I looked into the larger balcony suites and notice in pictures that they include 2 chairs 2 tables and a lounger. I changed my reservation and booked into room 8728 and was hoping someone could provide info if all of the larger ones have the 3 seats on the balcony and if they feel the extra price is worth it for the larger balcony, as these rooms are a quite a bit farther from the action. Also if anyone has been on the encore and stayed in 8728 how did you like it and the balcony?

Thanks for any helpful info anyone can provide.

  6. As a Pepsi girl PLEASE dont go to coke lol....

But I wish they would not put such a large "tax" on drink packages, as a celebrity's cruiser the 1st time we went to NCL and saw the extra $480 tax for the "free" drink package we almost cancelled our trip! Also would be nice to have an option as to something other then a pop package or expensive drink package we dont drink a lot so we just opt out of the "free drink package". When booking you should have the choice what beverage package you want and price adjust accordingly as buying the soda package still works out cheaper then taking the free drinks and paying the taxes...

I wish their pools were not salt water! On other ships my kids spend HOURS in the pool as its fresh water.

My son would say cancel curfew for the teenagers as other boats don't have them...

    Laundry would be AMAZING

I would LOVE If there were MORE servers in the shows and if servers all over the ship or private island didn't linger around like they are waiting for you to tip them some cash. I have NEVER had that happen or get that feeling on a cruise yet on my last trip it was always happening

finally maybe not change it but I did miss having a formal sit down time for the MDR we always get dressed nicer and your waiters learn your likes and dislikes and its a nice experience, I found with no set time we ate at the buffet more then usually as the wait times for the MDRs were always long.

Last year on the Eclipse Eddie was the Cruise Director and Christine was his assistant.

This seems to be what you have.

Eddie is GREAT ! I don't know if Christine is ditsy or just plays that role .

I wonder why she hops ships so much because in June of last year she was on the equinox! I'm just glad to her she isnt the main person, I honestly really dislike her so its disappointing all 3 of my cruises I've has her now. I also dont know if it's an act or what but manner just throws me off! I told my travel mates and they were laughing at me, but also super disappointed to see it was her. As no one either trip was impressed with her

  8. On the question about age I am 33 and this will be my 3rd cruise on celebrity. My mother loves the line and I enjoy it aswell. I have 4 younger children who really enjoy it but we will be trying the new NCL bliss in 2020. Honestly I find alot more hassle and fees going thru ncl then thru celebrity. The crowd is a bit older but I 100%agree with what someone said about time of the cruise. 1st time I went to Hawaii in feb/march and didnt see a single child the entire trip. Then went in June and there were many children. I think it depends on what your looking for. If you wanna relax it's great... if you want parties, crazy excitement and things to do maybe try one of the other lines. I think it's worth trying out the diffrent lines and see which you like best

  9. Hello everyone, I'm looking for some suggestions on company's that do late afternoon or evening ziplining or trips to the rainforest. We will in town a Tuesday from 3:30-11. Not the best timing but hopefully we can find something fun! My 14 year old wants to Zipline but most of the tours only run day. Campo runs one at 4 but I'm not sure they could get off the boat and there on time. I was hoping to take the other kids to the rainforest so Any suggestions would be amazing! Is the rainforest even a good idea that late if we found a private car?

  10. Will seemed like an inside joke that didn’t make any sense to share in this review.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

If you bothered to read the actual review, Doug said will was the orderer of shots so when you seen him you knew it was on... Makes perfect sense to someone who reads the actual review.

Or that's my take of it

  11. The Encore inaugural TA is 11/2-13/2019. On NCL.com, search Transatlantic then Encore and you should find it.

Ok so don't laugh but I totally thought it was like a do over trip on bliss you know an encore haha OMG ill go sit in the corner now lol

Thanks for the trip report! It was amazing!!
