  1. Our cruise last week the aft pool was full of kids for the first day (maybe two, they've sort of blurred) a sign came out after that and it was relatively peaceful. The Lotus Spa pool is quite nice, but very limited seating (8 I think) that were almost always full. There is bench seating though.

The 'hot tubs' might as well be called 'luke warm tubs' though. They were never more than mildly warm.

  2. My experience was that I could get either a small or large for one punch. Is this no longer the case?

Not sure. We only asked once, the regular was pretty large IMO. But I thought I heard someone in line be told it was two punches. Again, I can't confirm that.

  3. Just off the May 26-June 2 cruise. The birds were out, but there were so many people we didn't get a chance to see them. I did take part in the steel drum class, and performed in the Piazza with many classmates, the instructor and the band behind. It was a lot of fun. Highly recommend it if that is your kind of thing. Very easy to learn.

  4. It's a clunky website that likes to log you out frequently. When you get on the ship, turn on airplane mode and turn on wifi to get to it. It has basic info like events on the ship and where to find them, but rarely any details. The mapping feature did not work. I did not try the ordering of room service, but the account balance tool was welcome.

  5. Just back from the Caribbean Princess - with my card still in hand - the card itself expires in December of this year. I can confirm they just kept handing me coffee when I flashed it. Punches for specialties. A few nights they seemed to upgrade me to large for no extra punch. :)

  6. I seriously doubt that it will be mid afternoon before your cabin is ready. Unless there's some delay, cabins are generally ready by 1:00 or earlier. If you're not landing until 9:45, I would go directly to the pier, drop off your luggage and get on line to check in. I'm guessing this will be after 10:30. Once you check in you'll be directed to a waiting area (depending on your loyalty status) and given a number.

Usually boarding will begin around 11:30 - 12:00. I bet you'll be on board by 12:30 or earlier. You can drop off your carry on bags in your cabin and head to lunch,

Ah thank you. The notice I got made it seem like we shouldn't show up to the boat until after 2. I appreciate the info!

  7. So, my agent booked us on a stupid early flight (yes, I know we should fly in another day) but assuming all goes well and we land at an ungodly hour, we got notice our rooms won't be ready until mid afternoon (we'll be on the ground by 945). Any suggestions on what to do to pass the time? We do have some mobility issues (cane).

    Thanks!

  8. My daughter and I are on that cruise too!

The tea is served in one of the dining rooms and is very nice! Scones with cream and jam, little sandwiches, little pastries and of course Tea!! Very nice and everything was very tasty!! Check the Patter for the time.

Thanks very much! Maybe see you there lol.

  9. I like the quiet too, which is why I considered it. Though from watching YouTube videos, there seems to be a decent amount of spots on the ship to curl up with a good book. The cruise has had so many unexpected expenses however, I'm not sure I can justify more money as much as I like the idea.
