The credit for our refund appeared in our credit card account today.  Holland America was good at it's word, within 60 days.

Did you get an email from HAL that it was posted, or did you find out when you looked at your CC balance?  I was informed by my bank (BOA) when asked about a big credit balance being posted soon, they said do NOT attempt to move it to your back account because it would generate a trigger for a cash advance. Just what I was told, may not be the case for others.

Hmm.... given those questions,  any chance the survey went only to those who don’t  have to fly to Fort Lauderdale? We have to fly there from Vancouver, and Captain Ricky flies in from Alaska, so those particular questions are answered before they’re even asked.

We flew to FLL from Atlanta, so it might be possible that it was for "flying" passengers, but we could drive just as easily.  I tried to look at the survey again, but was denied access. It did not have anything to do with our cruise.

We also did not get a post cruise survey. Thanks for the heads up and the info. There are a few people who really stood out as deserving an atta boy on a survey!

The survey we received was not a survey of your recent cruise experience, but what are you thinking about going forward.  Are you willing to air travel to get to a port for a cruise? Are ports on this list you would not take a cruise from? They did give a space (2000 key strokes) for comments and that's where I addressed the current unknowns (where's my luggage) that will guide my decisions.  My main response was the need for transparency and more communication vs silence.

  4. Question... Did anyone else use HAL's "Flight Ease" with their original booking of flights?

We did and I found it extremely frustrating that everyone was getting flights booked with help at the guest services desk and/or booking themselves, while Flight Ease folks were told Seattle was booking ours.  We received our flights Saturday night and were off the ship Sunday morning.  It was a bit nerve racking.

Perth/Sydney/Honolulu/Atlanta 48 hours hotel door to off the airplane door with lots of layover time mixed into the hours.

Sheltering for 2 weeks or more depending on the curve data.

According to our favorite server- yes!  He said to ask them to char only the outside,  Evidently they put it on a very hot char grill. That and some garlic butter and Bernaise and I'm a happy camper

I wonder if the ships use the Sous Vide system.  (water cooking) Charing on the outside would be pretty easy to do and get the steak doneness you desire.

  6. We have always had a great experience dinning in the Pinnacle Grill.  (Prinsendam / Westerdam) We eat there often, espically lunch. We've had great service, great food, excellent preparation and presentation,  and a pricey, but good wine list.  The chef has made the rounds a few times.  We've never seen jeans or flip flops. We bought the buy 4, get 5 Pinnacle Grill dinners certificates.  The certificates may look like "free" meals, but they are not.

We also have tried the Canaletto, but found it plain as far as Italian food goes.
