Does anyone have the Fun Times from the 6 night cruise out of Galveston going to Cozumel, Roatan, and Costa Maya? Thanks!

Ok, thanks! It's a 6 night, same as my last one on the Conquest. My last cruise we went to Nassau, Half Moon, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove. This time on Freedom we're going to Cozumel, Roatan, and Costa Maya. 

I'm surprising my kids this time, it's their Christmas gift, so it's killing me not to be able to talk about it all day lol

Are the dining room menus the same on every ship? And for every cruise? I ask because I've been on one cruise and I have one booked for January on a different ship than I was on last time (Freedom this coming cruise)

I'll be leaving on the Conquest January 27 out of Ft Lauderdale heading to Bahamas, Grand Turk, DR. Does anyone have a recent Fun Times they would be willing to share for that route? I'm such a planner, it kills me not to have each evening planned out! Lol thank you!!!

Why are they closed? Is that temporary or permanent?

I disagree. My kids have talked about it and I personally would book a cruise on a ship with that for them and I think they would be HIGHLY disappointed if it were down for maintenance.

What are some things that you have personally experienced when you've needed to use insurance, or that have happened and you wished you had insurance?

Wow! I've had a couple minor incidences (like being bit by a Monkey in Mexico, falling off a high diving board in Jamaica, stepping on a kabob skewer impaling my heel in Mexico, etc) but those are some pretty serious incidents!

Lol 72* sounds perfect! We had a pool growing up (in NY on Lake Ontario) and 68* was warm lol

If it's not too personal, what was the emergency? Was it caused by something the resort did?

Bring a mid size bungee, to keep the door open!

I think faster than I read, so before I saw "to keep the door open" I thought, oh no bad idea!!! And of course had a visual of some drunk idiot bungee jumping off the balcony lol

Oh I assure you it is true, and not offended by the 10 posts thing at all.

 

He was in a room with his brother across the hall from us. They told us they could drop him off at the next port but they would not. They did interview all the other kids but did not tell us who they were or their consequences (although Indid see one mad mama leaving the security office) - in fact they didn't tell us he would be banned until we were disembarking. They pulled us into the security office and made him sign a letter. They did verify to us that it was a vape and they had found it with one of the older kids. I know what weed smells like and due to the hasty response of the crew I was standing in his cabin less than 10 minutes after they removed the smoke alarm. No weed.

 

I can assure you I will not try to get him off and he will not be sailing with us as a dependent again (he's 17 so not much of that left). If he decided to pursue it I will write him a letter, but that's it. I was just curious to see if anyone had any experience with a teenager in this situation.

 

FWIW I am not upset with Carnival at all. I am relieved to see how quickly they responded and how serious they are about our safety. We will continue to cruise Carnival - my Christmas cruise will just be a little cheaper.😊

I just want to say that, especially in this day of "don't say boo to my precious snowflake" that I'm very impressed with your parenting, not that my opinion means anything lol, but as the mother of 6 kids, ages 17, 15, 14, 13, 11, and 10, it's refreshing to see a great parent knowing that these kids are our future. So kuddos and keep up the great work!

Oh no! I never saw the weight minimum and was talking this up to my kids. My 10 (turning 11 on the cruise) year old is only 51 pounds. She's going to be sooooo disappointed.

That's why you buy the Cheers program and when you had enough to drink but still have 5 more to go before 15, you sell your drinks! 5 bucks a beer and 7 bucks a mixed drink. You could make back 35 or so dollars a day, which in turns means you will pay 25 bucks a day yourself for your Cheers!
