Several years ago, prior to her knee replacement, my mother needed a scooter when traveling on the Navigator of the Seas. She found a local (to the port) company that rented them and had foldable models. I believe they were somewhat more pricey than the traditional scooters, but worked very well for her. My dad could fold it up and it would fit in their balcony stateroom. For reference purposes, my mom was over 200lbs and felt very secure in her scooter.
Might be worth looking online to see if you can find a similar service. :)

First, let me say that this is a wonderful, positive post and you are a thoughtful, sweet daughter! I feel the same way about my mom - she's just the best and I love to spoil her.
I took my parents on a cruise for their anniversary last year. We had the same room steward, so each day I would ask him to place a little surprise and note in their room -- candy, a photo in a frame, some beach sandals. I don't think we ever grow out of enjoying little surprises! Also, maybe plan to go to one of the ship's "freestyle" photographers and have some nice portraits taken of the two of you.
Enjoy your cruise; I know you will!

We did the snorkel excursion from Nachi in May 2014. It was a nice trip, worth the money. Not a lot of coral, mostly just deep water and some rocky outcroppings, but quite a few fish, some rays. I had an issue with "sea lice" (jellyfish larvae) stinging my arms, which I've never experienced before. It was probably just the time of year and it wasn't excruciating, just a little irritating. If we go again, I will just wear a long sleeve rash guard.
Overall, it was a nice addition to a relaxing day.

Perfect!! Thank you so much for your recommendations! :)

Fellow cruisers, I am seeking your recommendations/suggestions!
I am sailing on the Allure of the Seas in October, stopping at Falmouth. I have been to this port before and used Liberty Tours to go to the Blue Hole with a stop at Scotchies for lunch. We don't really feel like another "adventure excursion" this time, but we really enjoyed Scotchies and would like to return. We would like to find a reputable company that would allow us to request a customized itinerary, perhaps stops at historic sites, scenic outlooks, beaches and shopping with lunch at our favorite spot for jerk chicken and Red Stripes :)
Has anyone arranged something similar and if yes, with whom?
I appreciate your input!

Glad you got it resolved but you may want to call the captain's club anyways before you sail with celebrity again. Unlike Royal you can sign up before you sail. They start at zero points whereas Royal starts with 1 (after you sail) .

I didn't know that...or didn't remember if I did know :D
Thanks so much! I will definitely do that.

Just to update -
The idea of contacting the X Captain's Club was a good one, however my SO has never sailed on Celebrity, so I'm quite certain they wouldn't issue him a Club number.
I sent an email to C&A the day I posted the original question and had been intending to follow up with a phone call. Turns out, it wasn't necessary. They contacted me today telling me that they had changed my fiance's tier to Diamond to match mine. I was fully expecting them to deny my request, so I'm so pleasantly surprised by this result.
Thanks for all the input!

Yep. The linking of accounts wasn't a problem at all. The issue is the cruise points vs. tier level.
I'll give them a call and see what they say.
Thank you :)

That is certainly the easiest way to find out :) That's my plan when I get away from my desk long enough to make the call. Just thought I'd put it out there in the meantime.
Thanks!

I'm hoping someone can assist me :) I am a Diamond on Royal, owing in good part to my Celebrity Elite status earned several years ago. I called to link my fiance to my account so that we could enjoy the same benefits, however his account only reflects the points I have earned on Royal, which puts him at Platinum. I was under the impression, perhaps mistakenly, that he would also be placed at my tier when the accounts were linked. I have an email in to C&A, but thought perhaps someone on here might have an answer for me.
I realize this is a controversial topic as many feel this granting of status to significant others is unreasonable, but since it is currently possible, I'm going to enjoy it.
Thank you so much

Thank you! That was what I was thinking... and yep, SetSail Pass all printed :)

I KNOW I have seen this question on CC, but I can't find the threads so now I'm the person who posts the "same old question!"
Sailing on Oasis this Saturday (May 10) and booked some specialty dining online a few weeks ago. The reservations appeared in the calendar as recently as early this week, but when I just went to the calendar to print our schedule, the reservations are not showing up. I'm guessing this is just because we are so close to sail date? Any thoughts on this?
Thanks a bunch!:)

Thank you so very much!! Such a great reply! An hour isn't bad. I've done excursions where it's 2 1/2 hours each way and it's just too long. I think I'm going to go for it.
Thanks again,
Heather

I'm considering booking the Irie Blue Hole and lunch excursion through Liberty Tours. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get to the Blue Hole from the Falmouth port? I don' t relish the idea of a two hour bus ride.
Many thanks,
Heather

Not in the least!! It is probably the most on-pointe advice I could get :) No worries, made me smile! Thanks!

As a man, without getting into too much detail, I'd suggest a great surprise might be something to go with that champagne & strawberries - something in your size, if you get my drift!
Have a great cruise!

:D I did kinda set myself up for that, didn't I??!! Advice noted ;)

Generally speaking, as a man, I am ambivalent about gifts but I won't say no to a steak!
LOL! Okay, good tips!

It is a great room and it will be a lovely vacation. I keep telling him that he is starting so high it will be hard to go back to a standard stateroom :)

My BF and I are sailing on Oasis in May on a Western itinerary. I have been on many cruises, but this will be his first cruise and our first real romantic vacation. He booked us a Crown Loft Suite, so he clearly knows how to travel ;) but I would love to arrange some great details to make this trip amazing for him. I have already arranged for champagne and strawberries in the room (which is probably more romantic for me than for him.) Any thoughts for some surprises I can line up --- gentlemen, your opinions are MOST welcome!!!
Thanks a bunch!

Hello, all!
I have "Next Cruise" certificates, booked 2 years ago on my last cruise. I booked it under my married name. I have since divorced and taken my maiden name back. Has anyone been through this? Obviously I have documentation for the legal name change, but I am wondering if it will be a problem redeeming for my onboard credit since the name no longer matches?
Thanks!
Heather

FUN thread :)
I've had so many best things ever cruising, but the bestest best thing (yes, I am aware that is terrible grammar) was my very first cruise aboard the Celebrity Century in 2000. We were seated at a 10 top with a crazy, fun, lovely group of sisters from Texas, also sailing for the first time. Those ladies have become lifelong friends and we make regular trips to visit them. That cruise is special for that reason and the Century was just a wonderful vessel in general.
I'll find another best thing ever on my upcoming Allure sailing, I'm certain :D
Thanks for the cheerful post, dodgersmom!
