  1. We love deck 11 on the Marina and Riviera. We are booked in 11008 again in October (next door to 11010) and have sailed in this cabin before, as well as 11006 and 11007. It is a great location, near enough to the Executive Lounge but far enough away not to hear foot traffic and any doors (not that there is much anyway). We prefer deck 11 to deck 10 as there are less cabins, but as Jim and Stan have pointed out, only forward cabins - to evade the public areas above. I'm sure you'd love it. Hope this helps.

  2. Yum to almost EVERYTHING on the O ships! :)

I found myself going nuts on Sushi on our last cruise for lunch AND breakfast... I was trying very hard to not gain the "freshman 15"... Well, that attempt failed by day 5 as I figured "what the heck?" There's just too much good food. And truth be told, they make some great bacon for breakfast... Scrambled eggs, not so much...

Ironically my biggest weakness is the little sandwiches they put out in Baristas. I spend a lot of time in the library/computer/coffee area working on my travel blog, etc. on O class ships and those little yummy bites are just TOO "handy" and quite plentiful (favorite is the tuna salad)!!!

DH would not walk from the pool area to the elevators on the port side just because those milkshakes are way too tempting! We all have our vices I guess. :)

Point of the story - you paid for it - enjoy it. We always go on a strict low cal diet and double our exercise for a month post-cruise. So easy to put it on, so hard to take it off!

So true can appreciate all of that. :) 2 weeks to go!

  3. We have cruised with a broad spectrum of other lines but the first time with O.

WE have booked the Istanbul to Athens cruise on the 22nd September.

In with the booking we have got the premium drinks package. We are wine drinkers and the wine is by the glass I believe. If we bring some on board for the cabin do we have to pay corkage on it if we drink it in there.

Any advice for us on anything that differs on here than other cruise lines would be welcome. Thanks

Hi there, usually no problem bringing wine onboard for cabin consumption. You won't need more than what's in the PDP for restaurants, bars etc. The standard of wine by the glass is very drinkable, in fact very good.

We too are on this cruise, you'll have a fabulous time on O. :)

  4. You do get a Butler on PandO - but we find the suite perks much better on Princess. And the Sabatini breakfast was the icing on the cake!!

If I remember rightly we did get a bottle of champagne, chocs, flowers etc, together with the nightly canapes - but I prefer Princess - just our choice though and we do still cruise with PandO from time-to-time.

    Hope this helps.
