  1. We were on the Silhouette March 24, 2019  out of Fort Lauderdale.  We are booked for almost the same next year (2020) and same ship.  We booked both  cruises while on Eclipse doing a Med. cruise.  We loved the food.  This past one was very disappointing with regard to the menu.  The breakfasts were nice as usual and sea day lunches were good.  This was our 18th Celebrity cruise and our 58th week of cruising, most with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean.  We have this same cruise booked for next March (2020) but are shopping around.

  2. Okay, from what I can remember....

1st night it was pretty much the same but it went downhill from then on.

    No beef tornados

    No veal chop or trout

    No steak and chips

    No branzino

    No beef Wellington

    NO AGED PRIME BEEF!

    No Steak Diane.

    No flounder

    No Pork chops

These were items we loved on the same ship last September.  We didn't starve by any means but my observation was and is that they have cut out all the really nice cuts of beef, veal and better fish.

I wish I had photographed the menu but it was the last thing on my mind.  Excuse me if I made a few mistakes on this but honestly, it didn't measure up to last September on the same ship.  If we hadn't cruises so often on Celebrity we might have been happier.

  3. This doesn't look like the 12 day menu we just had in March on Silhouette.  Drastic cuts have been made.  We did have this menu last September and were looking forward to having it again.  The current menu is entirely different.

  4. Boston is a fun city to walk about.  The Duck Boats will tour both the city and the harbor.  I grew up just outside the city in the suburbs and use to take the train into "town."  There is a nice aquarium, The North End (Italian restaurants, and the Boston Public Gardens.  By all means get out and about.  It's a nice place to spend some time.

  5. I guess I am showing my age here but I wonder how I lasted this long and never felt the need to carry a bottle of water around. When I grew up we used "bubblers" which for the youngsters here are fountains. We drank water out of glasses (tumblers) and seemed to be pretty healthy. Off subject, but we also existed without constantly communicating with our friends on cell phones or I phones. People in the USA, where we live, are avid fans of Poland Springs water which FYI is not from a cute little spring in the forest but from the same aquifur (SP?) as we have here in the White Mountains of NH.

  6. We came back from Eclipse on Sunday morning. I had been coughing for about 36 hours and went to my doctor Tues. morning. My husband went today. We both have been sick with an upper respiratory infections and are on meds. This has happened on 3 cruises (out of 36) and it's the only time we get sick like this. One time I asked one of the officers and he said the air conditioning and changes in temperature do affect some people. It is a drag but won't stop us from enjoying our cruises. I agree with some people that the buffets are not healthy, especially the shared serving utensils.
