I have received cash and FunPlay.  The offers in the past were almost always cash, but it is true that in the last year most of my offers were for FunPlay rather than cash.  That being said, on my cruise on the Paradise last month (not a Premier, but a casino offer) I was suppose to receive FunPlay.  I went to the cashier because the $$ didn't show on a Casino Bank.  They ended up giving me the offer in cash.

I didn't realize this had to do with the ship's capabilities, but it makes sense.  I know when I was on the Miracle last year, the $$ showed as a Casino Bank when I registered my S&S casino account.  I never worry about whether it's cash or FunPlay because I know that I will be spending at least that much in the casino (lol).

I have a Premier booked on the Breeze next month.  Both my sister & my offers are for FunPlay - not cash.

Thank you for the info!  It was nice when they gave me cash because I could share it with my husband & then we still played more!

  2. PA Dutchman, Thanks for your response.  I keep getting told it will be an on board credit.  Where did you find out it would be cash?  We were on the Magic Premier last year and got the cash from the cashier.  My offer is for $500, but it doesn't say how I will get it.  Thank you!!

  3. Hello, I am going on a Premier cruise on Carnival in October.  Has anyone been & what type of gifts did you get?  Also, I am to get casino cash.  Last year I just went to the casino cage and they gave me the cash.  Does this still apply?

    Thank you!

  4. Just wanted to add to the above accurate description: Some of the different events for cash giveaways are "snowball" raffles, cash cow, casino pong, and card match. The snowball raffle can get up to $1500 or more. Depending on what casino rate gets booked, which is determined by previous levels of play, you will receive either casino cash or casino credit from $50 or $100 up to $1.000. I used to get $300 cash, then $200 cash, then $200 credit.

The welcome aboard casino event is like the Platinum & Diamond past guest party, except they don't show the Carnival ship tape. The gifts in the room can be like the serenity deck towels, beach bag or such, better quality than the P&D gifts, all with the Carnival Players Club logo.

I'm sailing the Miracle in a week, strictly for the premier cruise events, otherwise I prefer ships in the Dream or Vista class now. Sailed the Miracle 8 or 10 years ago and I wasn't that impressed with the ship then.

Thanks for replying! I hope you have a great cruise!!!

  5. We went on our first premier cruise in April. You’ll get priority boarding. When your room is ready you’ll have lanyards with drinks on us cards in the casino for you and the second person in your room. Like above mentioned there’ll be a welcome aboard party to go over events for the week that’ll have drinks and finger foods. During the week you’ll get little gifts in your room: cookies, champagne, and we each received a black casino bag. There are different events scheduled where casino cash will be given away.

I’m not the casino player, DH is, but I got to enjoy many of the perks too.

Thank you Tori! I appreciate the info!! :D:D

  6. We love the Miracle and will be sailing on her again in January on a Dealer's Choice casino cruise. We have done many Premier cruises on Carnival and there will be a welcome party on sailing day where you will receive all the info you will need. There will be casino cash for you and free drinks while in the casino for you and your spouse. The Miracle casino is spacious and laid out well. Good luck and have a great time!

Thank you for the info!!!!! Have fun on your cruise, we are really looking forward to ours! :D:D

  7. As for tips, we always tip the cocktail waitress' in the casino. We also on our other cruises tipped the room steward at the end of the cruise. However, on our last cruise on the Magic in January, our room steward asked if we wanted one service a day or we could have two services a day. We were really surprised we were asked that as we never had that question asked on any other cruise. So we went with one a day and felt that no extra tipping was necessary. We always tip on room service and the porters when we arrive at the cruise.
