I'll be there in 16 days and report back as well.

On my cruise planner the cabanas ($400 up to 6 people) are available to purchase as well as the All day waterpark, $28.99/pp.

Which ship are you on?  We leave in 17 days on Harmony- the cabanas are 'sold out' /check onboard but the price is $1200!  Originally they were $500 when we first looked at them.  I say grab that cabana!!

  2. We are staying near the Orlando airport the night before our cruise and plan to take some sort of transportation to Port Canaveral the next morning.  We are 4 adults and 3 kids- any suggestions on limo/car services?  Uber X costs $55 for 4 and Uber XL (SUV) is $78.72 but they only take a maximum of 6.  The cruise transfer is $69 per person round trip which is way too expensive. The cheapest option we could find for seven with luggage is orlandoshuttleservice.com which is $300 round trip for 7 people. So it is actually less expensive to take two separate cars on Uber X ($110 each car round trip for a total of $220 for both families) than to take one vehicle that can accommodate 7. We would rather ride together but not if we have to pay $80 more dollars for the privilege of doing so. Does anyone have any advice? I have never tried to negotiate getting 7 in an Uber XL but I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem if one adult sat in the front and they had two rows. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

  3. Well... we booked a beach bed and the description now says it's on chill island (not south beach).  Has anyone seen the 'in progress' cococay? Will our view be a bunch of construction? and will we hear the ocean or a jack hammer?  Also, considering the water park for the kids.. but not sure that will be ready or even worth it since we are on Harmony with it's own 'water park'?  Thoughts? Going 3rd week in May. :classic_wacko:

  4. We were told by our Travel Agent that we had to wait till our cruise was fully paid for before we could book excursions.  Apparently, not true.  We found out today that all the chill island cabanas have been book for our cruise.  However, the shore excursion lady said we could email and request that they open up more cabanas.  So we did.. but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this?  And why aren't all available?  We also asked to be put on a waiting list.

  5. We will be there in May 2019.. beach beds on South beach are available but I'm concerned that area will be 'under construction'.   It looks like the new over-the-water bungalows are over there (in front of the beds) and I'm guessing they will be working on them at the time we are there.  ??  Looking for peace and quiet. 🙂  Anyone 'in the know'?

  6. I booked the oasis cabana but really thought hard about the thrill island cabana. At the end of the day, I decided we can buy thrill island passes. I dont' know if my youngest will be into thrill island and I do know I love the idea of relaxing at the oasis.

that's what we are considering.. I'm wondering if our kids can run back and forth from the oasis/ or Chili island cabanas to the thrill park.. or is it super far?

  7. It's not complete yet, not sure you are aware. Not sure if Maps that are online will be 100%, it is currently under construction

Yes.. we are going in May 2019... there is a map online but nothing is marked as far as the cabanas (except the over the water ones are obvious). I can see the lagoon, water park etc. and over water cabanas. But I wish they would have marked with actual names. Would love to know where chili island is located.

  8. We will also make a stop at Coco Cay in May 2019. Our cruise planner gives us an option of booking a Cabana at Thrill Water Park, Chill Island (the regular beach) or the Lagoon Fresh Water Pool. The Coco Beach and South Beach Cabanas will not be available until Dec 2019.

From the Cruise Planner pictures and descriptions it seems as though the Chill Island and Lagoon Cabanas will be the same as the Cabanas that exist now on Coco Cay and Labadee (wood frame, sectional sofa, two resort loungers, outlets for charging). The Thrill Water Park Cabanas look completely different. They appear to be tents. The description says a sectional sofa and comfy chairs. You don't know until you get there or see a trip report. They appear to surround the wave pool.

I really didn't like the picture of the Thrill Water Park Cabanas. But this stop is all about our son, so we went ahead and reserved one. The price includes full day admission for up to 6 people to the water park.

THANKS! this is a huge help... I found a couple pics but it's hard to tell what I'm looking at. We would probably go with Chili Island or Lagoon Cabana.. my preference is an ocean view but it looks like it is not walking distance to the water park. Can you tell how far chili cabanas are from the water park? and is the Lagoon area right next to the water park?

  9. We will be stopping at Coco Cay Mid May 2019... We really want to book a cabana but I'm confused about the 'future updates'. I thought South beach cabanas and coco beach cabanas already existed... we have never been to the island. Any insight out there? We hope to book before our cruise. And really hoping they finish the May 19 updates in the early part of May
