We have an 8 year old... Just check in check out with a parent. No need to allow the self check out. The activities on the ship are considered still part of the group and under their care...

We were on the Sensation last week and there was nothing planned at all for our 18 year and 3 day old... Nuts...
Not sure why they cant schedule one thing a day for this group... Putt Putt at 1pm for 18-20 yo, Piano Bar at 9pm, etc...

I use a CPAP every day and use tap water. Last week I was on the Sensation and had no issues.

Thank you for your honest review. I have been considering this ship for the ports...
How was the stability / motion? I get seasick and wore the patch on the Magic with 0 issues, but I worry on an older ship it might not work?
We were on the Sensation last week and I can assure you there were times where you could feel the waves... When the waves were head on there were no problems but when the waves were rolling across the ship from side to side the boat rocked. My kids who suffer from severe motion sickness did well with some Dramamine.

My 15 year old who is an offensive lineman at about 220 was on one of the pull downs last week. No issues.

Yes. We just had FTTF on the Sensation. It was great for days that you Tender off the boat.

Just returned from the Sensation. Our 8 year old boy really enjoyed the kids club. On the first day make a stop by to get the information sheet and make sure you are all set on who can check in/out the little one. You drop off and go when their times are available as published on the information sheet. On the day at sea it was open nearly all day and they have fun activities for the kids. Generally after 10pm you have to pay which we did not use.

We were there last week and I agree with your comments. If you want 5 star this is not the ship. For us we went with our kids who had never been on a cruise before. We all had a great time. There were some pluses and minuses but I run into that on all vacations.
I thought the food was good overall but I could see that the food took some time to get delivered. I had the lobster tails one night and thought it was quite good.
I was pleasantly surprised with the kid options for our 8 and 15 year olds. For our 18 year old I was equally miffed that there was nothing organized for them. Carnival should do a meet up or something in one of the open bars or on the putt putt course or something. Would take about 1% effort if that.
Carnival magic......do they have any activities for 18 year olds?
