The refurbishment was in 2015! If you know any Lirica-class ship, then you basically know the Sinfonia.

Okay, I have one cruise on Armonia, so here is my take.  She is a lot smaller.  Not a problem for me.  She does not have the bells & whistles.  There are lots of lounges for sitting, relaxing, conversing.  That is intentional.  All of this class were lengthened.  The only cabins that originally had balconies are the suites.  All of the other balconies were tacked onto the outside of OV cabins, just like Carnival did to the Fantasy class.  All of the inside, OV, and balcony cabins (other than suites) are the same size.  I can’t pinpoint exactly where the joinings are for the section inserted, but I think the connections to the vent system were not perfect.  We had the first cabin after the balconies, 9225, and it was excessively humid.  Such that any papers left in the cabin became limp.  Pick it up and it drapes over your hand.  It was also chilly, but when the temp was raised, it became even more humid.  When we left the cabin and walked forward, it was like moving from one climatic zone to another.
The MDR was weird.  There was a forward and an aft portion, with elevator coming down in the middle.  And another elevator to the aft, so there was a constant stream of people through during dinner.
We did enjoy our cruise, which was lengthened from 7 - 9 days by a hurricane.

Nope Randox and others are fine :

Antigen self-tests are accepted as long as they’re accompanied by an official certificate/email (some of the suppliers that are accepted: Randox, Expresstest, Collinsons, ect.). NHS certificates not accepted.

From the uk website: Travel Requirements Northern Europe & cruises from UK | MSC Cruises

Plus can personally testify as used a self test with certificate for Boarding both the Virtuosa and the Grandiosa recently.

Hi, do you know if Testifly is OK for MSC?

I booked a Mediterranean cruise on the Splendida in experience "Aurea".

Without notification or further explanation, I suddenly find a changed cabin number in the online portal. (now 15008, Yacht Club Deluxe Suite).
Obviously an unsolicited upgrade that I am very happy about 🙂 But experience still says "Aurea".

This leaves me with a lot of questions.

Can I really use all the amenities at the Yacht Club? Also the free minibar?
In which restaurant will I have dinner? At L'Olivo?

    Thank you in advance
    Mike

    So fine!

    How long before departure?

Fellow young passenger here! Honestly, I think that your daughter's experience on HAL really depends on the kind of person she is. Me, I really didn't like kid's clubs when I was young and I didn't really hang out with the other kids on board. I would be totally happy to play by myself or with family so long as there was stuff on board that I could do. The introvert in me continues as I'm really not a big nightlife fan at all. Thus, it doesn't really bother me that HAL doesn't offer too much nightlife. I think sea days are a bit weak in terms of set activities she might be interested in, but if she's just looking to relax and enjoy herself, I'm sure they will find fun things to do together. How many sea days are you looking at?

How much they enjoy their cruise depends on what they make of it and what they need in a cruise. If they're super into teen clubs, nightlife, thrill activities, I don't think HAL is for them but if they're a bit more like me, they'll have a great time.

    Hi, thanks for answering!

Elena usually  enjoyed the kids  club when she was 5/8. When she get older she liked spending the time with us on the cruises.

In the last years my niece always came with us in two long cruises. But I think Elena will enjoy this with us 😊

We were on a 7 night HAL cruise to Alaska in July a couple years ago and there were 100 kids onboard. Our TA told us that typically you’ll find many multigenerational family groups on HAL in the summer and especially on the shorter itinerary 7 night cruises and that seemed to be the case on our cruise. You could join your roll call now to connect in advance with others your family might enjoy spending time with/booking tours with. If your daughter is looking for great nightlife with other young adults she may be disappointed on HAL but if this cruise is more about your family spending quality time together and exploring new destinations I think you can have a wonderful time on HAL. I think much of it is going in with realistic expectations. I hope you have a wonderful time together on your cruise!

    Thank you!

my doughter spend great night libe when she is home 😉

we like spending quality time together, I was only wondering about the presence of other young adult onboard.

I wait to know it here in the roll call 😁

  7. It is easy, just go to guest services and ask them to make the amount you feel is right. I usually reduce my daily gratuity to $10 PP PD because I believe that amount is what actually gets distributed to the crew. No one knows the answer to how much they keep with cash since Princess chooses to be secretive which in itself shows me they don't distribute the gratuity as we would hope.

    Thanks!

That s what I want to know. :)

  8. Hello, I’ll be with my family on Regal at the end of July.

We have to girls, 17 and 18.

For your experience on Princess will they find other young adult on board?

In the past we travel led a lot with Costa when they were younger and they enjoied a lot.
