  1. I'm crossing my fingers that my August cruise doesn't get canceled. My August cruise was the 'second choice' on my cruise list (the one I wanted to go on was too $$$) BUT just so happens the $$$ cruise is now affordable and actually cheaper than the one I have booked AND it leaves the day before my booked cruise does.

    I really want to switch ships - BAD! The cruise is cheaper now, it's for a longer trip and it goes to the ports I have been dreaming of going to. So far, I've only paid the deposit on my booked cruise. Do I cancel the booked one, then just book the new one or do I call Carnival? I feel strange calling them to switch our cruise when I know they are slammed with cancellation calls.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

  2. I ordered a mini life preserver ring from Wish.com for $2.00. It was the perfect size. I wrote our first names on it and hung it up with a couple pieces of velcro tape. Nothing was ever said about the tape.

  3. A suite opened up on the July 15 sailing of the Conquest. We (family of 4) originally booked a room on the spa deck. Since booking, There hasn't been many, if any, open cabins left. But yesterday an ocean suite opened up on the Empress deck. It's a bigger room so I called and they switched our cabins for $100. I love my family but I feel like the $100 was worth it for more space. I know people dont spend a whole lot of time in their cabins however, my kids are now teenagers..... Ok, no excuses, I wanted a bigger cabin! We went from cabin 1104 to 7262. Was that a good or bad move?

  4. We want to take our daughter on a trip to celebrate her high school graduation + her accomplishments (Honors graduate w a full ride to WVU honors college!)

    ([emoji16] Sorry, but I'm so proud!!)

    I've researched so many cruises and I feel more lost now then before!

    This is our "situation..."

    There would be 4 of us, me, dad, our daughter (18 y old) & our son (15 y old).

    We'd perfer to leave from Florida;

    We would like to go in September;

    We would like to take a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise - around the St. Martian, Turks areas

    I want as much all-inclusive we can get;

    I want a ship that will keep our son entertained.

    (My entertainment will come from the pools and hopefully a casino.)

    Excursions don't really matter to us - We are truly going for the beaches and "tropical" experience. Of course though, I really want to swim with a dolphin!

    I guess what I want is a lot of bang for the buck. I'm hoping someone can shed some light and help me decide which would be best, Carnival or RC? Islands to visit? Any any other advice.

    Thanks! Carrie
