Driving from NY to Miami to board cruise.  Any advice for reasonable hotel/motel to use night before cruise and leave car while we are away for the 5 days.  Other option may be airbnb and parking terminals near departing dock?  Not sure how to research my options and how to choose a smooth departure situation.  I may be a little cranky after driving down south for 2 days sometimes it takes several hours just to leave NY.

Only our second cruise...Picked open dining for flexibility.  Hubby can not eat passed 6:30 pm.  Should I try to change to early dining set time if it is still possible ?  With NCL we had no issues eating when we preferred and making reservations for speciality dining but that was 2 years ago, never been on carnavel.

First time cruiser here and enjoying reading Rick Steve's travel guides as suggested by cruise critic members.

Just spent over 30 minutes waiting on NCL excursion phone line to find out rep unwilling to answer my simple questions.

I am trying to find out the name of the cruise terminal/pier that Breakaway docks in Copenhagen and Helsinki so I can better plan my trip into these towns using Rick's guide. Anyone who just returned please advise. Also does the Breakaway have a cheap shuttle bus option into town (not looking for free ) Have booked with Alla for St.Petersburg and Stockholm(Nynashamn)

This is our first cruise and aside from St. Petersburg where we booked with a tour company wondering how easy it may be to sight see in the ports of Helsinki, Copenhagen and Nynasham (Stockholm) on our own using hop on and off type buses ? My DH likes to wing it but I am more of a planner. Thinking this might be a good compromise. I am confident Tallinn we can walk and explore on our own

We r not big drinkers..wondering how dining option works...cruise line port excursions seem pricey with only $50 per port discount...
