  1. We will be on the Jewel of the Sea in February and bought the deluxe drink package. Just wondering if anyone has an image of the soda cup they provide. Wondering if I need to bring a thermal cup with me too for coffee from the buffet or if I can use this cup for both.

  2. I keep receiving emails saying now that you've booked, add drink package, shore excursion and the like but when I log in it says not available.

Generally (dont need exact date), how soon before the cruise does these options become available? I called and was advised "just log in everyday and check". I'm assuming there has to be some general period they add these options (9 months, 6 months, 30 days)

Got taxes back and trying to estimate what I need to put away for drink package and excursions on the cruise. Prepaid gratuities and insurance already.

  3. My son needs to do some school work while onboard our ship over the 11 days. Not sure how much time it will take to do work and submit it so we are considering the unlimited plan. My question is can it only be used on one device? Say he wants to work on his phone while at the pool then on his laptop later.

How do you connect to the internet and can it be used on multiple devices?

  4. First time on NCL, hope someone knows answers to my questions:

My two kids got unlimited soda package. Do they need to carry their cups with them everyday or does something go on their card indicating they have package (they are 16 & 21 if that matters)?

Can I set up separate debit card for each person in room so the kids have their own money available to them, or does all the onboard expenses come out of my credit card?

How many outlets in an inside cabin and can I bring a multi strip to plug stuff into?

  5. We will be in St. Thomas next month on the Explorer of the Seas and would like to go to a beach.

    a. Which beach is closest - cant you get there by walking or taxi?

    b. Does that beach have decent/good shore snorkeling? Do they rent equipment?

We would like to do some beach time in morning, lunch on-board and then a little shopping at the market right outside the port.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

  6. for many years. They have a tasting shop and sales room close to the pier. The prices are better in St. Thomas.

So I would be better picking it up in St. Thomas?

The tasting shop in PR do you mean? That's the one I planned on going to, but they are not open on Thursday.

  7. I like to buy Rums from different ports. I do not want Bacardi since that is avail here. I wanted to sample the Don Q rums before deciding which ones to buy, however, Don Q is closed on Thursdays and that is the day we port there. Is there anywhere else in PR where we can taste the rums before buying them? Additionally, where else can we buy Don Q besides the Casa? Is it readily available in Puerto Rico?

    TIA

  8. It has been my experience that those who think they will get seasick - do.

I have to politely disagree. My DH can do rollercoasters, no car sickness, no motion sickness whatsoever - he got seasick.

I on the other hand, can't even watch a boat in a movie without getting dizzy and I did not get sick.

I took ginger, he did not. Ginger works!
