New digital customs in place since 2018.   You mentioned Gem... was it in the New York City? When we left Escape just a month ago we went through the new face recognition customs and I believe with that came removal of the declarations form and the automatic summation of your purchases. I could be wrong of course 🙂

Thank you all for updates!  Waiting patiently at home, now aiming to arrive at 7pm at the pier.   Lucky we live just 1/2 hour away.

We were on escape last September for a Canadian cruise. We actually used one of our vouchers to eat there.    Ordered anything we wanted.   The cheesecake is incredible.  We love pretty much all the food especially the burgers.  Fabulous time the views are amazing.

Just to give you a small update we sailed back in 2016. When I read a few threads about the noisy room I called in and was able to switch my assigned cabin to another. I suggest you do the same. We switched to 13716 and even though it was all the way on the end of the hallway it was super quiet.

Can you post your stateroom number and name? Example BA 9000? Not sure if you’re asking if a king bed is inside your state room or if a king bed is inside an inside state room.

If you are in suite, you will have a true big king bed.

Not for normal Haven cabin, only owners. We just came off breakaway in heaven H6 cabin. We did receive two champagne bottles but were not able to exchange them for wine. Our butler did say this is not allowed anymore. I believe the champagne was a part of the platiNUM gift? The butter did provide a free bottle of wine as a free consolation.

Oh, no more Godiva chocolate. Boo!

Another vote for Tortuga Rum! We got the spiced version it was fantastic. They also have vanilla which was also a favorite I saw a bunch of people taste and buy. There are another two flavors, coconut and regular. They let you taste all the flavors!

This was in Nassau Bahamas just this December 2017.

We were on same sailing! We love NCL, sail every December.

Positives were our Haven experience. we were also Haven guests last year and it was amazing as always. Getting quickly on the ship and off the ship was great, we didn’t experience any delays. 15min on and off. The food in Haven restaurant was amazing we didn’t even go to the garden café or the main restaurant. We did dine in Cagney‘s and Maderno, both were good. We did get under cooked steak at Cagney‘s which was a sour note.

Negatives for us were two things. First, Our cabin was aft and it vibrated pretty much nonstop, which was incredibly annoying. Sleeping more than 6hrs was not possible. It was not like this last year. We had the same class cabin last year. Second negative was the crowds and aggressiveness of the nonspeaking passengers. Especially using the elevators and walking around the ship. They completely disregarded any proper etiquette.

Upped my bid by another $450/pp to get into fair for H6 upgrade. Still very unsure we will get it as H6 and H7 are sold out on our cruise. All others still available 60days out.

Not going any higher as I’m already passing up onboard credit of $600 and all 5 free**** HaHa! offers because I’m not booking the H6 outright.

Clear and simple lesson: before any land or sea vacation DO YOUR RESARCH! :)

Just put in bid for heaven for December cruise. H6 with lowest bid possible. We purchased guarantee mini yesterday and were assigned cabin today. Bid email came shortly after cabin assignment.

Not at all! We did it at le bistro as platinum best meal ever.

What about weather in Bahamas? Getting sick on ship?

What a shame! We just sailed in Haven on breakaway but I had no idea the bartender had his own infusions.

Did you pick that deck or sounds like last min upgrade. Will be noisy.

We sailed breakaway a few times and anthem last year. I personally hate the anthem for a number of reasons. I didn't like the food, it was lukewarm half the time.the confusion on board, everything was booked up well ahead of time, that includes shows and restaurants and the ride at the top of the ship which we actually had to go standby for on a rainy day to use, you will see all of it when you get on board. Anthem just doesn't look like the cruise ship inside it looks more like a hotel and I didn't like it.

I personally love the breakaway we just came back in December and I would book it again in a heartbeat.

It's definitely hit it miss. Sundays are especially tough. We just came back last Sunday and Average was two hours.

When is your flight?

When we were on breakaway in 2013 we were switched from aft deck 14 to Lower aft deck handicap room. The switch was due to High noise from the dance club above us on deck 15. I may have some pictures but I need to look for them. Let me know if they're even going to work because obviously Breakaway is not exactly escape one to one.

Hmm, looking in my sig, it says mini, but it was a handicap and Not a mini.

Also, if you book escape aft, make sure it's not high deck.

It depends on how well she does. NYC is a huge market for Norwegian.

Absolutely! I actually see escape staying here 2019+ and breakaway going to another smaller market.

I will be sailing next month, but I read no more mussels at LeBistro. Was one of my favorites too!:mad:

Can confirm and very disappointed. I ordered them and was like... umm... where's the cream sauce?!

Also no more wagu sliders at Cagneys... those were amazing!
